Thank you Father Broom, I keep learning with you.
    I will🙏🏽 for you.
Blessed are the people that can attend your retreats. It’s true we have to pray to our Lord for vocations, here in Florida we don’t have enough priests for confession.

I took notes ... glad I did because it reminded me to pray for the priest as I was writing out my confession in front of the blessed sacrament ... It was SO effective I told my friends about your recollection of what Jesus said to St Faustina and I am doing it every time ... God bless you and reward you Padre ... St Faustina, ora pro nobis !

I feel the Church let me down, Father. Unfortunately, priests haven’t made Confession available, coming in 5 minutes before Mass or haven’t encouraged it from the pulpit. One visiting priest said he was available for Confessions before Mass- a few went. He stopped after a few weeks & didn’t make it available, at all, the next summer when he came to fill in. People aren’t going to run after the priest if they don’t know the value of the Sacrament.
Thank you for your teaching on it

So sorry you feel that way 😢, however we are all part of the Church and are call to be Disciples of JESUS. We are not to judge, that is only GOD'S job. When we died GOD is going to ask what others did, is going to ask us individually what I did? We have to be prepare with a clean CONCIENCE AND BE IN PEACE WITH GOD!
The CHURCH needs more Priests and we have to pray for them 🙏🏻⛪🙏🏻 They have so much to do besides saying MASS and hearing Confessions, we have to be part of helping them, by understanding some situations that some times we don't understand and demand to be like we want to be. Call the rectory and tell what you need ( Confession) and they will accommodate the right time. I personally, if I can't go to my Parish, I go to other. Remember our CHURCH IS UNIVERSAL ( THAT IS WHAT CATHOLIC MEANS ) 🙏🏻⛪🙏🏻🕊 PRAY THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT GUIDE AND GIVE YOU STRENGTH, WISDOM TO UNDERSTAND WHAT JESUS IS EXPECTING FROM US ( ME ) MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS 💖🙏🏻🙏🏻💖🕊THE PEACE OF THE LORD BE WITH YOU 🙏🏻⛪🙏🏻🕊

Wrong RayBassman read and learn! Jesus didn’t give you the authority to interpret scripture or the 16th century fallible men you admire. Jesus gave all that authority to the church of the living God the pillar and foundation of truth, to his Apostates and their successors for the last 2000 years found only in the Catholic Church. Catholics do not tell their sins to a priest “instead of to God”, but to God through a priest, appointed by our Lord as an alter Christus, or “other Christ”, an official stand-in for Christ. The Word says it all deny it and you deny Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. This is you RB,
“Why do you think evil in your hearts? For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins”-he then said to the paralytic-“Rise, take up your bed and go home.” And he rose and went home. When the crowds saw it, they were afraid, and they glorified God, who had given such authority to men.” Matthew 9:4-8. If you didn’t catch it Jesus gave his authority to forgive sins “to men.”
“…and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects.” James 5:16. Priests are righteous men, those in the state of grace after sacramental confession and absolution, living saints and saints in heaven to name a few are righteous.
“T]he disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”
John 20:20-23 Jesus “breathed on them”, God breathing on someone happened only twice in all of Sacred Scripture that is extraordinary. And again Jesus gave men the authority to forgive sins. God bless you.
And all this is from God, who has reconciled us to himself through Christ and given us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting their trespasses against them and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. So we are ambassadors for Christ, as if God were appealing through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
2 Corinthians 5:18-20. There is Sacramental Confession. God bless you I will pray for you.

    Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
    Matthew 27:50‭-‬51 KJV
When Jesus Christ died on the cross. He tore down the veil in the temple that separated us from God. And only the priest could go in and pray to God for us. Because Jesus Christ has torn the veil spiritually we can go to Jesus Christ ourselves. No need for a confess to priest anymore.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
    1 John 1:7‭-‬9 KJV

You are misinterpreting the Bible bc you are not relying on any authority. Many Christians can interpret the same passage differently that is why you need authority to preserve purity and truth to avoid confusion such as the Martin Luther followers.

The 'Broken Record Confession Syndrome' (BRCS TM) might be due to a lack of knowledge...
    Yes, that's true.
However, the solution is not SELF-knowledge but the knowledge that God 'dwells within us' by the Grace of God!
So we commit sin because our will is weak but also because our intellect has been so darkened that we don't know we should avoid proximate occasions of sin...
    Really?
That's not Catholic doctrine - that's Pelagianism, pure and simple!
The Dominicans of the XVIth century were right: the 'Spiritual exercises' and their founder WERE promoting Neo-pelagianism - the cat is finally out of the bag!
Do you seriously think our Fallen human nature can't find ways NOT to avoid 'near occasions of sin'?!?
How many times do you need to hear the same sins in Confession before you realize THIS IS NOT WORKING!?!
The problem is not 'lack of knowledge' - the problem is our Fallen human nature!
No matter how good a Confession you make, if you ignore the Holy Spirit and rely solely on yourself, you will spend your entire life trying to avoid evil instead of doing all the good you were meant to do.

Catholic Priests have not read God's word thoroughly in the Bible, If so, they would know that you no longer confess to a man, ( a priest ). You now can confess and talk directly to God through the holy Spirit, ever since ACTS Chapter 2 in the King James Bible. The Catholic Church keeps this information from you. And you should go to a Bible believing church where they have the real word of God open on the pulpit, which is the King James Bible the real Word from the Lord. ( the creater of the stars above and everything )The truth. Also, there no longer should be a Lent sacrifice, Jesus was/ is the last sacrifice on the cross needed. "It is Finished" To continue any sacrifice act is blasphemy against God and you are saying Christ's sacrifice on the cross is not enough??? Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice..IT IS FINISHED. If a church makes up their own Bible and it's not the true word of God in the King James version of God's word, then it is blasphemy. The NIV and simplified is ok as long as it is the real word of God, and no verses have been changed or taken out by man.

Don’t know where you’ve gotten your anti-Catholic information but it’s wrong on many levels. Instead of repeating errors you’ve heard, open your heart to learn the truth about Catholicism
