I remember back when the first album came out he said something like this. It was back when the single tracks had a man screaming at 30 seconds for some reason. And he mentioned how those people would have no idea what the fuck was going on.
Sounds like this was the song he was getting drunk for, at least... that's what he talked about during his Turok 2 stream. Awesome either way, keep it up Vin and the gang! I love you guys!
For real though, if the three songs from this new album are any indication, the progress Red Vox has made since their debut is nothing short of amazing. Every song sounds distinct from one another and highly memorable, whereas even What Could Go Wrong's best bled together sometimes. The wait is killin' me, but at least the new album will be out sooner than KH3.
Not as bled together as, say, Blackwater Park IMO. I can easily pick out every single song from What Could Go Wrong. Funny, I bought the album just to support Vin, and ended up really liking the thing.
imo, i thought what could go wrong was an absolute masterpiece. the tracks flow together amazingly well, carrying themes from one song to the next, and then finishing with probably the most anthemic song i've ever heard. In a Dream is something a crowd of people would most definitely vibe to.
Can I just take a second to say that Mike a pretty awesome drummer? He's got a knack for playing exactly what's appropriate for the song Also, it probably wasn't intentional, but the intro to this one gives me strong Tool vibes, which is pretty sick
Now, we already know Vinny's vocals in this song are excellent, and they seemingly always will be, no question, but let's give some well-deserved appreciation to the band members who contributed an equal amount. Mike's drumwork in this song gives the song a heavy beat that would leave anyone constantly tapping their feet, while Joe's bass playing creates an almost foreboding rhythm, and dare I say almost menacing sound on its own to pair up with Billy's guitar work driving the song's foreboding sound home and perfectly matching Vinny's vocals. It makes the song so insanely compelling to listen to, when all parts are in harmony to produce one of Red Vox's heavier projects to date.
Before song: "So, 'Red Vox', huh? This is the band Vinny and Mike are on with? Alright, my curiosity has been peaked, I wonder how they sound, I mean Vinny seems to always mention prepping for his music work often..." After song: "THIS IS ABSURDLY GOOD. This song is an awesome demonstration of every member's part of the band. Everybody seems to be doing their own amazing thing, but it meshes together so well. The instrumentation is definitely my favourite thing about this song. EDIT: also the way the video kinda burns and the keyboard gets cut off at the end is cool as hell
I don't think I've seen anyone mention the tie between this song and Sacramento (unreleased song that's a part of the Another Light demo collection). Other than both songs being about going to places in the west, the end to Sacramento sounds similar to Reno, making me think the events of Reno happened after the end of Sacramento. From this, you can imagine the person gets away to Sacramento to escape and be a new person, or escape the mundane nature of their life. Either something goes wrong on the journey or something else happens when they get there, so they wake up under the desert sun with no real memory of how they got there, all they know is they have to make it back to Reno. Since Reno (Nevada) and Sacramento (California) aren't too far away, this plot is feasible
I see Red Vox as a group, rather than seeing it as only Vinny making the music. Its unfair to see Vinny as the main star, and this is coming from someone who always likes to watch his streams

Another Light is looking to be the best album yet. All these songs so far have been beautifully made, emotionally touching, and artistic. While still keeping that down to earth feel. With an album that looks like its had a lot of hard work and heart put into it, the delay is going to be fucking worth it all.
As someone who's been religiously listening to your What Could Go Wrong album let me just say, you guys have improved SO much! As much as I adore that album, I feel like this new one is gonna take its place!

For a while I've been kinda salty waiting for the album, but when I saw the reason why I understood immediately and now I'm even more excited. I really love your music
Every new song just makes me more and more excited for the full album. This fills a musical void that I find all too hard to fill these days. Amazing job guys.
TheBroMoe Same. But considering how he seems to not be inclined towards doing tours or even live shows any farther than like 30 miles from his house, I think he'll be okay. Plus, Twitch chat will always be there to say "ehh, not that good" to anything that anyone ever does.

Great job on the new album, not just to vinny but to everyone in the band. The new songs sound fantastic and I'm really excited to hear the rest of them, especially since you guys delayed the album a little to record a new one (which I think is a perfectly good reason to delay it, I mean who doesn't want more?)

Just imagine all the people who'll come across this song by accident, and when they get to the comments it's filled with shitty memes
I know it is sad. We need to keep the memes out of the great music.
If Vinny didn't want his bands comments to be spammed with memes he wouldn't promote it on his meme streams.
I don't think he minds and or cares.
Jeppe oh I know he doesn't, I just meant those people would be absolutely confused as to why people want to fuck bees
