While watching this I noticed the Camber gauge for RC cars, then near the end I noticed the car on your bench. Love it! 2 of my favorite hobbies guns and RC.
Sir you have excellent taste in ars. My boss wanted his first AR so I got him a ballistic advantage Hanson barrel with the pinned gas block exactly like yours and a stripped Aero Precision upper. We finished it off with a Midwest handguard. Such a sweet build
Great video. You can find reviews and comparisons everywhere, everyone does them. What you dont see is just a guy who shows you some different builds hes done, telling you what he likes and has changed. This ol boy isnt selling a thing. Simply sharing his opinion from his experience which to me is extremely helpful and much appreciated. I wish there were more like this, much deserving of more than 16000 views. And since this is his opinion, no claims this is better than... lets respect that and keep the "I'll never blah blah...this is better" personal opinion (twice the money for maybe minimal improvement) comments to yourself please. Respect your elders! Thanks for the video.
Solid video. You are spot on with your assessment of Aero Precision receivers and parts. For not a lot more money than standard milspec receivers, you get significantly improved design, machining, fit and finish. I also agree that Ballistic Advantage makes quality barrels. They have become my favorite AR barrel in the sub $Douglas price range. Thanks for posting this video!
Ive built 2 of these and about to do a 3rd this evening. A tip for anyone wanting to build this and also have accurate back up iron sights or use a DABL or MAWL. Get an inch pound torque wrench and blue loctite. Torque the rail screws to 25lb/in in a criss cross pattern like lug nuts. Put the loctite on before you do. Torqued to 25lb/in a cross pattern evenly seats the rail and perfectly centers it around the barrel. My irons only required 4 clicks from dead center to zero at 100yds doing this.
Yep, I love their integrated barrel nut Enhanced receiver and have 3ea myself,,, very sweet.. I also have both styles of Quantum handguards.-- railed and unrailed. The railed picatinny handguard will fit over a SA .936 gas block on a Lilja bull barrel..I'm an old fart too! Big Aero and Geissele Fanboy!
Robb, I was pretty much sold on Aero for my 1st AR already, but I like your review of their products. I like the Enhanced on the bottom of the 3 ya have there for most of the video. Thanks for the 5D Tactical tip.
Aero Precision uppers and lowers are the only thing I use for all my builds with the exception of my AR22 build which is a combo of PSA, CMMG, catch 22, bore buddy, and S&W mags.
Nice builds! I'm 100% with you about Aero Precision. I've only build one Aero rifle to date, but it's been flawless! I'm working on a Aero EPC-9 build right now.
Built my 9mm with M4E1 AR15 upper and lower from Aero Precision. Combined that with Endo Mag conversions, PSA 9mm barrel, and PSA 9mm bcg, Aero breach charging handle, Law Tac UBR Gen2 folding stock, ASR muzzle and Omega 36m. The fit is so perfect with this combination of parts its like it came built from the factory.
The EPC has a problem feeding the flat-front 9mm ammo so make sure you get the rounded stuff. I haven't tried shooting hollow-points from mine yet. There are a lot of people with the flat-front feeding issue and people are calling on Aero to correct the feed-ramps or whatever to correct this. A lot of people have been having gun smiths machine the barrels so it feeds better. Just an FYI.
Aero didn't give me a Hammer pin when they mailed my lower parts kit. I hit them up on their website using the chat function and they sent me the pin without issue.
Master I agree with you I built lower aero M4 A1 with adam arms piston drive upper with magppul adds and is a ferrari god bless you and good luck warrior
For the sake of accuracy...just a few of points of clarification: The upper of first rifle you show is actually an "M4E1 ENHANCED" version -- which is NOT the same as an "M4E1" version. That forward protrusion you talk about on the M4E1 ENHANCED upper is forged as an integral structure to the upper. The lower that you are calling "standard" is actually their "X-15" version. They also make a matching "X-15" upper as well. Additionally, they make an M4E1 lower that is a better match (visually and otherwise) to both / either the M4E1 or M4E1 ENHANCED upper. The M4E1 styling is distinctly different overall than the X-15....most especially the trigger guard of the M4E1 lower ....which is dramatically different. Specifically, the M4E1 trigger guard is integrally forged portion of the lower ... whereas the X-15 trigger guard is a separate & removable piece.
Thanks for the info. To be honest I don’t know the timeline of the production of the M4E1 line. At the time I purchased my enhanced upper (around 2016 or 2017?) I don’t remember seeing the threaded version upper. I remember seeing the M4E1 lower months later as a new item which I would love to add to both the rifles I have with enhanced uppers. Just too many things to buy and too little money!

@@escapedfromnewyork unfortunately both barrels from them have undersized gas ports. It seems to be common. Kind of a shame

Assembling my first Aero build, and ill only go with them from here on out.

Nice builds, very impressive. Thanks for sharing!
The bearings the BCG rides on is fantastic. Just a drop of oil and you have the smoothest operating AR around.
I would love if they came out with a slimline version of the Enhanced Handguard with the same mounting
I love my two m4 e1s. I have one in 556 and another in 300 blk out. Both with binary triggers

Nice video. I just completed an Aero Precision M4E1 upper/lower build. I agree with your opinion on their quality.
Nice builds!
Aero is my favorite
Awesome breakdown, thanks
I recently did a build with the X15 lower instead of the M4e1. Put a BCM upper on it and she’s ready to roll.
Very sexy AR-15 collection.
Awesome rifles !!!

Where can I find the barrel nut combination?
see my comment above
When we can own one in California please let me know.
You can buy your parts and build it yourself. It is legal to buy just a lower receiver and build it from there.
I bought my upper online and got my lower at store! Both Aero Precision! I am in California ! Love it !
@@andyhuang7526 I'd love an AP setup but in my area there's one gun shop and they play it safe. No lowers.
@@matthewdavies2057 , 🤔 what? Which city are you in? 😂
Nice hobby rc racer and gun racer like me😂😂
I WILL NEVER buy thier barrels again, they just can't compete with white oak, criterion or even Rosco barrels!!!
