I love the size of this house. This is a realistic tiny house for me...
In new zealand this size house is about the largest you can easily transport on the roads. It fits within the first oversize category meaning you dont require a transport plan. just some flashy lights.
I like the fact that you don't need to have a bedroom in the loft!
Hii cute Koala 🐨 bears. I'm polar bear.
@@aidansharples7751 Transport plan? is the with the wide road car. how costly can it be?
Regular width 2.5m , my Semi movable home will be 3.1m x 11.3m. Lifting points built into the frame of the house, main construction method is sips( structural insulated panels) for walls and roof. I can have 4.1m of overall height if it wants to go on the motorway. or up to 5m of height off motorway. Staying within these requirements will mean i am in the first class of oversize vehicle. Approximat move cost for 300km distance is $859 nzd.
That word hit me..."tiny homes helps teach you what necessary and what's not"👍👏👏
The filming and editing of these videos is so professional now and is really great. Looks like a segment pulled from a TV show. Well done guys!
Lauren Riley But.... it is for a TV Show! That's how a knew about it, for this TV Show!
he needs to watch the lighting sometimes. but yes very professional.
I'm 14 years old and I'm watching all these different types of designs of tiny houses has made me really interested in architects and I know what I wanna be in the future wish me luck 👨🏻💼😃
I cudnt watch it wn I was 14 nd so missed it...
Smart. That puts YOU ahead of the game, Jimboi. Don't forget this. If you go to a university, pay as you go. Maybe do the community college route and then transfer. Stay out of credit card debt and debt in general. Don't live to work. Keep yourself free. Also, start a Roth IRA as soon as possible. Do the math and see how much you'll have at retirement age for motivation. There are calculators for it online.
All the best!!!!
That's awsome good luck because it is very hard!!! Be prepared for allnigthers in the studio, but if you are pationate about it you won't mind it 😊
Gòod luck
Okay this is the one I have been looking for , I want this exact style of small house. Just replicate everything but their decor. OMG it's perfect!!!!
I agree, Simple, Sleek, Sophisticated. Perfect. I want one. Planning Begins.
+Social Phobic Kiwi lol.....I caught that too.
most of these suck. This one is really nice and well though out
+Electronic Superhero Yup, it certainly is, Absolutely;)
except the fridge
This is by far my favorite tiny house!!! This would not be a pre-home this would be home-home!
I totally agree. I could have easily moved straight into this home myself.
+ that! your videos are great, plenty of inspiration...
JUST A NOTE TO ANYONE THINKING OF DOING THIS.
The cladding on this building (industrial name: Aluminium Composite Panel) has to be selected very carefully, I have been in the signage industry and building game for many years and is widely used as stated in the video.
This paneling, most importantly can add fuel to a fire, it can warp in extreme hot weather due to being mostly polyurethane, it can separate due to construction and weather or both, it will on it's own create more heat and cost more to insulate, it will only last a certain amount of time depending on quality from 3 to 10 years, does not matter what you get told by the salesman or manufacture, it has created major issues in the building game that has ended up in building codes being changed in Australia, its quick to apply and modern looking that's the advantage in the building game, after 7 years it's out of there hands and responsibility, if they are still around.
My personal opinion on this product, should have only ever been issued to the signage industry and at a cost for a sheet 2400x1200 being from S50 AUD to $560 AUD there is a lot better proven choices. So be Warned.
I was wondering about it too. Thanks for posting that info. Also along with the insulation problems, the black color absorbs heat. Pretty and shiny but not good for the long run, I think.
Yes.
Hope it helps
It's cold in Christchurch where this is...it hardly heats up 😀
That's great, but you are missing the most import point, you might want to read my post again, or do some research. Or if it's your building in the video well nothing else needs to be said. It looks fantastic.
I had the exact same thoughts. Thank you Peter for clarifying it. Makes sense what you stated above. Moreover, the price is bit too high. There are better and cheaper options with the same results I perceive.
As someone who is space conscious but not a minimalist, this really speaks to me. I also love the idea of massively reducing the ongoing costs of the home (heat, etc) by building really well at the start. The price is even incredibly affordable!
This is the first tiny home that actually looks like a home and I have been looking at tiny homes for years. The lofts really make them look more like bunks than homes. I would live here (haha but my husband would not).
Opposite for me. Wifey would not :) I would. It's so awesome.
its so beautiful. its like a luxury apartment!
When you realise this semi-tiny home is bigger than your own apartment and cost less than what I paid for it for 5 years...
yup I'm about 50-60k thrown away in rent id own it by now
A little bit if extra width goes a long ways.
Exactly! I live in Florida. Since 8 years I’m paying a monthly mortgage if $1300 for a 3 bedroom townhouse, and actually I really need just 2. I still have 22 years to go! In the end it will cost me 460.000 US$! Unbelievable! While you could have something like this for $55.000US$, paying it even in one shot and that’s it, being free from any mortgage and keep $1300 in my pocket for the rest of my life! Isn’t this a deal???!!!!
Americans should really start thinking about what is really necessary to live happy: downsize their home, save a lots of money to investe it in much more important things in life than having big houses and...big fatty meals, big cars, etc. America is the apotheosis of capitalism, as I always says, making people grow up believing that superfluous is equal to wealth. Nothing more wrong!
Actually extreme capitalism makes selfish and superficial societies.
This home is pure poetry with a poet as it's creator.
these vids are getting better all the time.....great job
Thank-you! :)
This tiny house is still my favorite on this channel.
I really like the kitchen, very modern but the bamboo top gives it a warm feeling as well, which most 'normal' modern kitchens don't have. The size of the house looks like it's based on a regular 40ft. shipping container, so I guess a similar internal layout would fit in a shipping container as well :)
Yup, it's just a wee bit wider and longer than a shipping container, but a very similar size indeed, so you could apply a very similar lay-out.
The bump-outs featured in one of your other container videos will achieve the same open-ness.
I'm definitely in the camp of taking tiny house design principles and applying them to a small home.
My current favorite design is more like a cabin size at 18'x18' (324sq feet or 5.5x5.5m 30msq) , but compared to a tiny house of the same size it feels much bigger.
I've also got a bigger family size design that's 26'x20' (520sqft, 8x6m 48msq). There's so much you can do with that space using tiny house design techniques!
Best tiny house I have evert seen ......been watching this channel for a year.
I really liked your discussion of the advantages of both tiny homes and small homes. There are definitely pros and cons to either category and you focused on the positives (as you always do!)
Beautiful! But I would make the following changes: add solar panels & use an induction stove range instead of a gas stove.
Pretty easy to do...
Artistically this home is amazing. So much thought and care has gone into not only the construction but as importantly, the décor. It works perfectly.
"A messy desk is a sign of an intelligent person." Where's my nobel prize?
I know lots of people with messy desks, and they far from genius
@@seanconnell622 Lmao!!
@@seanconnell622 it’s a joke LMAO
That’s a lot of surprises once you go inside. That hallway was one of them. Cool...
I luv the hidden panels and Home is a spacious tiny house 😊
Absolutely love the kitchen countertop and the design aesthetic as a whole.
Really remarkable home. I still can't believe you found so much room in this size.
This is probably my fave tiny house. No loft and actual rooms. So beautifully designed. I love this.
This reminds me of trailer houses. There are popular in Canada (where I am) and the US as affordable housing. At least, they were in the 70's and 80's. They can be really cheap, in trailer parks, or you can even make them very pretty and feel like a proper house on a normal sized property. I think though they are maybe a meter wider, but not more than that for sure.
There was a collapse-able tiny house at the Tiny House Jamboree in Colorado. The loft area collapsed when moving. Wonderful. I wish I had taken a video while I was there.
This one really is perfect, Just like a small apartment, offers a lot of privacy, unlike most tiny houses. Would love to have one.
This is probably my fave tiny house. No left and actual rooms. So beautifully designed. I love this.
My prayers go out to all the people from CHRISTCHURCH affected by the recent terror attack. May you heal and be comforted at this time.
Bonnie Mccutcheon Great, you did absolutely nothing with those prayers.
I would like to point out that most people were inside a mosque praying when they were attacked, by a gunman. If praying didn't do anything for them why would your prayers do anything......
omg the black white and gray is so beautiful amazing job that guy did with the colors
The perks of living in a beautiful, crime-free society like New Zealand is that you can make these amazing steel and glass structures without having to worry about break-ins and vandalism. And practically every inch is scenic so the location won't matter!
Another amazing aspect of the people who create and own these beautiful structures is the amount of positivity oozing from them.
Normally you also show how it's powered and heating and cooling. I would have liked to see that on this video as well.
True, I didn't in this video because it's all just normal mains connections. I should have mentioned that in the vid though.
It's just like a railroad apartment in New York City. It is a nice home they built for themselves; love it!!
WOW, THIS IS FROM FAR THE MOST BEAUTIFUL DESIGN I EVER SEEN.... LOVELY !!!
I'm gonna make one of these when I grow up
Have you grown up yet?
By far, this is the most modern, slick looking small home I have EVER seen! I love it!
cool and very modern on the outside, I am surprised how old fashioned it looks on the inside: bath, furniture, bedroom like straight from the 90s...
Drapes look more like foofy 70s to this octogenarian. Like fancy pizza house designed by your grandmother.
IF I COULD AFFORD IT ID LOVE TO HAVE THIS BUILD OR WHAT EVER EXACTLY AS FEATURED IN THIS VIDEO N SHIPPED TO SCOTLAND FOR ME TO LIVE IN
Your caps lock is on.
I'm just gonna say it Not Only Do I Love Watching These episodes with All The Diffrent And Wonderful Tiny Homes and To Top It Off You Get Shown Around By Such A Handsome Man. Bryce You Are Gorgeous 🥰😊
That Home is Just Mind Blowing, Beautiful..
It's too bad he didn't use Solar panels on the roof. 43x10 I can work with that.
Yeah, a home like this is ideal for solar power. I believe he does intend to install a system sometime in the future.
This is the nicest single trailer / container design I have seen yet. I would buy or build this in a heartbeat. Bravo!!
This is one of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE tiny homes!! I could absolutely live in it!!!
Very streamlined. I like it a lot and a while back I had a similar design for an affordable housing solution. It's definitely a really clever way to use the length more than the width to create that many spaces in a small home. Thanks for another great interview, LBIATH team. I'll call you guys that from now on.
This is more than enough for me and my son! Almost a small mobile home....I guess the size is the difference? Hmm....I would make the kitchen smaller to make that second bedroom bigger but other than that? Love it! Now I have to figure out where to start!!!
I like this one. I cannot see my husband and I living in a tiny house, but a small house for retirement would be great! Lower cost in everything. Being older, it is not easy to climb or to have to roll over each other to get out of bed. This smaller home is great. I think that I would rather have a larger bathroom with a jetted tub than an office. However, it's a nice design and takes advantage of storage space.
20 or 30 years ago I saw a special on earthquake resistant homes. The builders were out of Australia and they used many Japanese building techniques. Now I need to find that again :) I'd love to see a book or yearly videos recapping your favorite features in the homes you tour. (In your spare time, of course.)
that exterior is great. love the deep glossy black..
The best tiny house I have ever seen. Thanks for sharing details.
I love this home it's the perfect size..no crawling in a loft and this has 2 bedrooms well done...only thing is why the refrigerator is in the bathroom...
This is an intelligently thought out home and a great end product.
5:53 the dog!
Excellent small home. Great, smart ideas and his wife has practical style. Beautiful.
what do they use for power (electricity)
Excellent question and quite interesting in that there was no discussion about power, water, and sanitation!
Probably all hard wired, didn't see any solar panels and its in a residential area so hook up will already be on the property for it
Also, a flushing toilet... Hmmm... I wish they talked about the power situation!
Electricity.
I live far from your country... But hope to own one soon.. This about the best I've seen so far.. Your decor is absolutely "on point". Stylish and modern..you've got good taste and exquisite style... Love it!
What a beautiful office space. The hallway is very nice
This is the exact layout of a traditional trailer/mobile home, just rooms in a straight line.
I guess mobile homes/trailers are an American thing?
Ah, thank you for that caravan comment. I'm Canadian, and had assumed "caravan" meant a travel trailer or motorhome kind of thing.
Language is fun, isn't it?
This is one of the best of the tiny house, cuz I’d like the height of the ceiling especially in the bedroom.the kitchen is really spacious with a big fridge, stove and table as well.
I like it, except for the wasted space of a narrow hallway.
What could be a solution to still have access to bedrooms and bathrooms?
In this case, adults, 1 BR, 1 bath, just walk thru
Ahhh I see, you mean single bedroom with ensuite style instead of double bedroom. Different needs though.
Put the bedroom one end, bathroom/laundry the other - open plan living/kitchen in the middle with front door and access to the deck through the middle (so that the width of the deck makes the house look wider, rather than even narrower).
Bathroom at the living room end would mean that there would be no large window. I think the large window and the ample light, are the reasons why this house is so attractive! I guess with the 40ft length, there is more leeway for hallway ;)
A good sized small home and very stylish.
That is the coolest jumper I've ever seen.
love the long container feel, but love even more the apt feel, decor, and tons of living room space. great job!
I have watched many videos like this before but this specific video this home I was very very impressed by the design of it the way it looked from the outside very sleek very sophisticated looking the actual size of this home for me if I had an opportunity and I had the money I would duplicate this house for myself because I absolutely love it if I was able to own a piece of land I would actually build three of these one for myself one for my son and one for my daughter and my granddaughter and it would be very close to each other giving each other the Privacy we need but also to be close and have a very secure gate and fence all around it for privacy and also for security thumbs up for this video
Love the space and organization in this home----awesome !!
Ref 2:32 - What a beautiful dog ... look at those striking eyes! :)
This is a wonderful home, very masculine and luxurious, in many ways. Wonderful Video.... wish they would get you on TV with your own show, I know you are, but, you interview so well, I think you could sell tiny homes to more people through TV.
THATS REALY TIGHT!! LOL THIS IS THE BEST ONE I SEEN SO FAR WOW.... GOOD IDEAL PLUS THE BLACK PAINT IS REALLY WORKING FOR THIS TINY HOUSE
Very stylish and comfortable looking. Thanks Bryce!
You're welcome Charles! :)
thank you for traveling around to give us an inside look at all these great small spaces! I love watching this channel!
Not just perfect as a starter home, but a perfect solution for elders like me who want to downsize and find so little available for that purpose!
Putting this on tires was brilliant! Earthquake proof indeed.
Lovely just lovey and agree on everything you you talked about coming from someone who has lived the apartment life, condo life and now a big home since 1996 but now want to down size. The closet thing I have at the moment is our 27 foot camper and actually lived in For three months so with that said trying that out I so can settle in a tiny house. 😀 no problem
i love the designed of his tiny house, its simple and beautifull😍
Wow beautiful house love to live in that kind of house. Amazing inside and outside. Beautiful, beautiful house. Love the idea of a black & white. Love your long sleeve shirt.
Lovely home. Loved how spacious it is and the interiors are very modern and minimal
What a beautiful and fantastic home!
I love this site! It makes you think outside the box
I wouldnt complain . I could move in instantly . Loveee this hse
this is the best of the best tiny houses
I think that I’ve watched every video of you, Bryce. And notice that you matched your clothes in every house you visit. 😍
And love tiny houses. Been living in it for years already.
By far the best of tiny homes I've come across. I'm dying to get one!
Of all the videos of tiny homes I've seen... I want this one the most! I would live in it now!
Perfect, even the portable around deck steps. Excellent model
Very smart Paul. Excellently presented. Thanks Bryce.
This is the most reasonable small house design I have seen, so far. A senior would be able to access the bedroom without injuring him/herself. If there were no hallway, the office could be expanded and there could be more room for full-sized appliances. This is a realistic and attractive design. But, does the insulative material suit a northern climate that could reach minus 40 degrees Celsius temperature?
Love the work you do, they way you interview with such respect and comfort in your tone. I think you were MEANT for this career type..if not even doing narration of wild life documentaries, or something as gifting as "reading for the blind" if you have that altruistic part of you, AND the time. :) You are so diligent in all you do. I am sure you have your 'race around' moments. Yet, when it's interview time... you are the best at this than all the others I have seen. I have watched, easily 100-200 of these videos because I have put off selling and moving as my goal since fall of 2012. And now, I have no choice. I HAVE to do it now since I can't afford the mix of much higher property taxes after 12 years of living here, and association fees over $200 a month. Plus I want a hobby farm.Nothing fancy, just a place to horseback ride into some wilderness and a place for her to shelter herself and her buddy through the seasons in the upper midwest of the U.S. HOWEVER, I remain open to other countries. I fear moving out of state because of my disabilities and need for specialist doctors. If I didn't have that issue.. I'd want to head to Africa. I think that is just a "pipe dream", no a bucket list idea. So..keep these great interviews coming! (For as long as you are enjoying it. and/or until the 'big bucks people catch on to your talent and steal you away to Hollywood). Best of luck and health to you!
Love the look and the size of this home
What a amazing tiny house and so beautiful and so much room too .
I really do love this house.
This is a beautiful house, well designed and highly crafted,I really like his Art too.
I love this channel. Thanks for sharing. Every time I watch a tiny home video I add or change my floor plan for my tiny home or shipping container home.
I really love this home. Would be great in California.
Very modern, minimalist and energy efficient. Love love ❤️.
Truly beautiful home
I've been into tiny houses movements for around 8 yrs, I'd say. I still learn everyday :D. Greetings from Canada!
Love it! Beautiful house, another great find, Bryce! :) I found it so nice and cute how the man gave the credit to his wife for the design. She's done a great job, and so did he. Wish all the best to the couple. And the dog. :D
😮 my god now this is totally beautiful this is the best one yet 🥇
Reminds me of the blueprints I saw of the "microapartments" they were proposing to build, in the Old Post Office in downtown Chicago...
