- In office for six months and facing a recall campaign, Alameda County DA Pamela Price sat down with KPIX for an interview that didn't quite go as expected. Betty Yu reports. (7-16-23)
This interview alone is enough reason to agree with the recall.
Props to Betty Yu for holding our public servants accountable.
Betty asked easy questions and Price ran off like a coward.

If it was a black family who lost their child, I guarantee she would be meeting with the parents, holding photo ops and milking it for everything she can. Everyone needs to replay that last comment several times. The was DA Price being her "true self". After hearing her arrogance at the end of the interview, I'm all in on this recall. Please tell us where to show up.

@@thewatchfuleye8401 I was born and grew up in the Midwest and look forward to returning.
The reason I left the Midwest was for jobs. I got an engineering degree and started working in the semiconductor and later software business. The high-paying jobs were in California. Also, the weather in California is really good. And it is nice in theory to have a lot of diversity. Or at least it used to feel that way.
(In practice there are problems here like the black-on-asian crime, where black kids target elderly asian people for assaults where they don't even rob them. It is an actual hate crime, and the politicians ignore it. Instead of this diversity being a good thing it is laying the seeds for division. And I don't think politicians care.)
I spent 3 years in Texas 90-92 and have. been in California since then. I will say from 1992 until 2010, it was really good. But around 2012 (after the Democrats got complete control of the state instead of sharing control) the agenda in California has turned very anti-business, anti-law-and-order, pro-drugs. Very nanny-state. I cannot ignore it any longer, it is beginning to affect our daily lives.
I now go back to the Midwest to visit and really enjoy the fact that if my mom forgets to lock the front door to the house we don't need to panic about it because (a) it isn't going to be robbed anyway and (b) our friendly neighbors who also own guns and would use them on lawbreakers, look out for my mom and everyone in the area.
My wife and I are planning our escape from California and we plan to get a home in the Midwest near a lake for the summer and a second home in Florida for the winter months. I'm also getting ready to start my own business and will move the business out of California as soon as we leave.

I live in an elite area of the state to be sure, you cannot beat the cost of living in Midwest and standard of living. Teens can be soldiers who get killed for their country so teen criminals can go to jail like big boys instead of being given a clean diaper, nursed, n rocked to sleep.

There’s something disingenuous, condescending and insensitive about the way she speaks to others. It makes me feel even worse for the victims of recent crimes that she downplayed and sided with the criminals.😢

Welp. This interview was a swing and a miss by DA Price's office. After watching, I am even more swayed to support this recall effort. As an aside, I thought lawyers would able to handle the mid-heat of journalistic questioning without PR hawks circling overhead.

It is never a good sign when a DA is “too busy” to speak to the media. Transparency is key and she is failing in that regard. Also, not sure how we are supposed to believe that she feels safe in Oakland unless she’s in cahoots with the criminals herself. Shameful and she gotta go.

Our criminal justice system and mass incarceration obviously need to be fixed but that doesn’t mean you go to the other extreme of just not doing anything and letting criminals have free reign.

Price compares the recall to the Jan 6 insurrection in that the Alameda County voters are trying to recall her, saying that she was duly elected. Tying what she said to her as a supposedly professional in the judicial arena, that would be like saying that a person that has been convicted of a crime by a jury of their peers could not appeal the decision of the duly selected jury. Price thinks that because she was elected that we should be stuck with her for the whole 4 years with no chance of parole. Once recalled she can apply for a teaching position like her colleague Chesa Boudin and go to UC Berkeley and help him corrupt some more liberal young minds.
At the end she just comes out and says it- the perpetrators of crime are the victims.
Publicly elected and she says the people won’t have more access to her, actually she said “ I doubt it”, and laughed! Vote her tfo.

DA Pamela Price said it herself, she said, "any time that we can divert someone from the criminal justice system, that is the goal." The prosecutor's job is not to prosecute criminals, but to divert them from the criminal justice system... she actually admitted it herself. No wonder, justice is not being served.
If she was paying close attention there are a large group of blacks standing outside her office holding sogns saying seeking justice for Jasper, a white man.. its bad when your own skin color wants you gone, ma'am.
