Sooo confusing because in my AAT lessons, when we classify by nature, it's indirect and direct and then by element, is material, labour and expenses. But your nature is what we call element. And what you call traceability what our nature is. Same country, same course, completely different classification of costs???
For you classify by nature, you have to classify by element first. Classification by nature is a further classification of classification by element. Classify by element first i.e. Materials, Labour and Expenses You can then further classify elements Materials, Labour and Expenses into their nature i.e. Direct or Indirect So you will have classification by nature as follows; Direct materials Direct labour Direct expenses Indirect materials Indirect labour Indirect expenses Hope it makes sense
