The insane part about all of this is one of the MAPPA staff said on Twitter last night that this episode was unfinished and everything you saw this episode was only *30%* of the intended vision….bruh…they need rescuing
I think this is specifically for their frames, theres a fair few sequences where you can tell the detailing wasnt fully implemented. Those extra flair details take a huge amount of time to include in these high action sequences. Still incredibly sad, hopefully management take the message and give them some time, if they can pulloff a near flawless episode like this under those constraints imagine if they were given the freedom
A note for you from a manga reader regarding this specific showdown. The fight between Mahoraga/Makora and Sukuna was much shorter in the manga. The anime expanded on the fight. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. In the manga, it emphasizes how smart sukuna is because he quickly figures out how Mahoraga works with a couple of hits. In the anime, the destruction is the emphasis, we see the city get absolutely demolished in detail. The finale in both mediums is still the opening of Malevolent Shrine and a huge crater in the middle of Shibuya but how we got there is different.
As a manga reader I preferred how the anime expanded the fight. It's really showed and made me care about the destruction of Shibuya, people shouldn't complain like babies when they are giving so much.
The reason why Megumi decided to use such a suicidal move was because he was already going to die of blood loss so he decided to take that blond cockroach with him at least before dying, the funny thing is that demon dog would have been more than enough for that trash so him summoning that monster is NEXT LEVEL PETTINES, like my boy i know you pissed that he got you with a sneack attack from the back but god damn.
Yuji’s breakdown was so tragic. He always wanted to save people but that’s a fragile and fleeting goal especially being the host of Sukuna so this would happen eventually. Despite that he has to force himself to fight otherwise he’ll break completely. Such a good character
Yeah, I'm assuming Sukuna's goal is to use Megumi's body as his host since he his technique makes him much more valuable than Yuji, who doesn't really seem to have anything particularly special to call his own besides being abnormally strong physically. Then he could undergo the ritual as Megumi and defeat Makora again, which would enable him to control him at will. That makes the most sense to me given everything the anime's shown so far. Megumi can summon Makora, but because he's not nearly strong enough to subjugate it, it's just a kamikaze technique for now. He'd need to defeat it 1v1 to be able to tame it, which goes back to why I think Sukuna would want Megumi.
Megumi is suicidal 😂 he tried to summon this thing like 3 times in the previous season. He dies when the ritual is complete(opponent dying). Your question about Sukuna and Megumi’s abilities… yes. That’s all 😂 The end of the fight gave Akira vibes, music and visuals. Poor Yuji, Sukuna being an ahole by making sure the first thing he saw when coming back was the aftermath 💔 A few episodes ago “Take his shirt off” with Nanami, you got your wish 😅
Hey I just came here from the Passionfruit group video where y'all discussed Attack On Titan and I just wanted to say that I loved hearing what you had to say, your passion for the show was infectious!
lmao I just realized how the english subtitles totally f*cked up sukuna's domain expansion name. The official translation for "伏魔御厨子" is "malevolent shrine," not "malevolent kitchen" lol What is he Gordon Ramsay?! 🤣
Side-pony's miracle curse technique is why he didn't die from Nanami's beating, he even said so himself, and it's probably why Nobara looked so weak against him because she's shown how badazz she is capable of being. She couldn't land one hit on him. This season has been peak...but I hope the anime goes on hiatus for a bit. The Animator's well-being should be a priority. Mappa was viewed as an elite studio but it ruined its own reputation due to the way it treats its people.
I'm definitely going to rewatch Nobara, and Nanami's fight to look at his miracle face markings because I paid no attention when I watched the first time. Thank you. @@SwiddyDiddy

Bro thats just to exaggerated do you remember the tweet and the users name?
@@digchiz8174no it’s not? It’s literally from someone who worked on the episode and directed previous eps?

The way Megumi was looking for any opportunity to use Mahoraga since season 1 😂 also Sukuna have another sense and it's the “Megumi in danger”.

Sukuna must have been happy he found a playmate that didn't break so fast.

Todo dosnt like my taste in women? better kill myself. Megumi just like me fr fr
So many emotions throughout this season this is only episode 17 😭😭😭
Make it stop 😭
Sukuna is the ultimate menace. Bro tore up the city, causing complete chaos then left Yuji to see the damage before he swapped 😂😭
Literally non-stop incredible art for 20 minutes 💯 Mappa management "Yo Michelangelo hurry up with the roof we got church on sunday"

Nanami is literally in his Harvey Dent/Two Face from Batman phase right now.
I just realized tht the girls with underground were talking abwt Inumaki-sempai which suggests tht he may not have been tht far from them😢

"I thought it was bad..." Yeah, then Sukuna took it personally that "the shibuya incident" wasn't referring to just him.

If you rewatch Nobara vs pony tail, she pulls the ceiling down on him. One of his markings is gone when he walks out unscathed

@@CharTurner6928 oh yeah didn’t even mention, everytime Nanami hits him you can see a mark disappearing as well.
What's wild is that this is still just 15 fingers. I bet a 20 finger Sukuna vs Gojo would destroy half of Japan.
I 100% share the sentiment in wanting Nanami to get healed IMMEDIATELY, but I also have to say he's never looked... hotter 🤣
You don’t even know… the half of it 😅
Haha please stop 😂😭
He now looks like Gus Fring from Breaking Bad
Yeah as a manga reader you are not ready for next episode 🙃
Sorry for you to see your man half cooked 😅
The last few eps were insane non stop fighting sequences
Oh by the way #free_palestine

Nanami has had it the worst this arc 😢He's been 100% doing his part
He is waaay hotter now 😍
Homie needs to retire 😢
That thumbnail is disturbing knowing what happened in this episode...
2 great fights? Just 2.......
