My Mum used to get annoyed if I put a coat or cardigan on before going outside saying I wouldn't "feel the benefit of the doubt" whatever that was meant to mean. So if I was cold inside and we were going outside where it would be even colder then I wasn't allowed to put a cardigan on inside. Had to wait until outside. And even then I wasn't supposed to put it on immediately, had to wait until I was "really cold". But if I get cold and then put a layer on, that doesn't warm me up. An extra layer only works if I put it on whilst still somewhat warm. I just got a lot of "you can't really be that cold". I can and I am. All the time. I wear long sleeved stuff in summer!
When my mother was 88 or so I tried getting her to play Sims 2. She played the tutorial by herself(-ish) and I remember there was a visit from the fire department and she asked one of the firemen out on a date. She was really happier telling me how to decorate or build houses and create dogs in CAS though. Good for your mom for trying it out.

My breakfast smoothie which I make five days a week looks like that. It's 1 kiwi, 1 orange, a fair bit of leaks and spinach, little bit of fresh chili, ginger, turmoric, some raspberries, blueberries, a couple of tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, black pepper, and some cultured milk. It looks like mud! But it's delicious and keeps me full all day!
