For those who are not from Sydney, the statue in the gardens near the end of the video on top of the fountain 24:45 is of Capt. Arthur Phillip RN who was the founding governor of the colony of New South Wales, the first British colony in Australia. I think it is a nice tribute to him. The explorer Capt. Cook seems to get most of the statues but it can’t have been easy for Phillip to come out in command of the First Fleet and establish a new settlement on the other side of the world. At least he has a nice view of Sydney Harbour to look at from up there. Things have changed quite a bit since he set foot on shore in what is now called Circular Quay in 1788.
Great place for a Botanic Gardens...right on the harbour with the Bridge and Opera house in the background. Plenty of photo opportunities ! Haven't been there since Vivid 2019.
8:15 happy to see the dragons blood tree is still there and alive! i remember being told that it had fallen down during a storm not long after that happened
