I can remember: a candy called Bonkers, that smell that 80's cars had a mix of old car smell and gasoline, Madonna and Cyndi Lauper, B96 and 102.7 FM, riding in the rear facing seat in a brown station wagon to Great America, The Bozo Show on WGN, Flintstone vitamins, Goonies, Ghostbusters, Howard The Duck, Hi*C Ecto Cooler, swallowing a nickel that my brother had dropped in my mouth while I was laying down, grammas grilled cheese cut into triangle, staying home sick and watching the Scrabble gameshow and Zoobilee Zoo, Disney Silly Songs and Mousercise in preschool
Nature’s first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf’s a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay. Not that many people probably care about poetry, but I think its a cool coincidence that I was looking up this poem earlier today on a whim.
