#87: "We Slaves of Suriname" by Anton de Kom (Suriname, 1934)

A history told with energy, passion, and powerful prose, belongs in the canon of world literature in my opinion. It brings to light that freedom and fair labor laws as a fundamental right can never be taken for granted and must always be fought to be upheld.
