  • A history told with energy, passion, and powerful prose, belongs in the canon of world literature in my opinion. It brings to light that freedom and fair labor laws as a fundamental right can never be taken for granted and must always be fought to be upheld.

Ty Mike for another fantastic review. I have a keen interest in historical matters and most particularly when it relates to slavery. Added this book to my tbr list.
Keep up the good fight dear friend

Thanks Russo! I appreciate reading that especially on these histories and autobiographies that are a bit more niche. For many countries they are the best choice in the quest to learn and see new perspectives.
