First of all, this song slaps. hard. I love how heavy it sounds! Lotsa drum and bass to show how much Katherine is weighed down by what's happening. Vry great intersection of not just text from the lyrice to represent story, but also the sound to tell listeners abt the characters. Secondly.. Theory time~ I wonder if the new series has anything to do with Camellia and the Devil. The set-up is very similar~ First Camellia and Mephistopheles, now Katherine and Asmodeus. Asmodeus reminds me visually a lot of Camellia's demon form at the end of Cult Mockery. They have very similar hair, and it would lean into the bad end of Camellia continuing the cycle of suffering for her revenge on the Architect. The circus could even be her version of the Chapel.... Regardless of theories, poor Katherine. Asmodeus thinks they're doing her a favor, but she sure doesn't enjoy being stat of the show...
This is connected to Camellia and the Devil, and takes place in the modern era on the surface! Camellia and the Devil is part of the chronicle named Devils and Divines. Asmodeus is not Camellia, but instead a mortal turned devil.
