Hi. By increasing the number of transistors, you will not get an increase in output power. The output power depends on the supply voltage and current, as well as the output voltage of the amplifier.
Lets suppose he has a 70-0-70v 30 ampere transformer. It can run the 2 transistor board and will not burn it. In this case increasing the number of transistors will help, provided the driver transistors gives enough current to the base of the 5200/1943 transistors.
Actually way less than that, amplifiers are rated in RMS, so with 50 volts p-p at the output, you have really only 17.675 volts rms/4 ohms=4.42 amps X 17.675 volts= 78 watts RMS
There a few issues with this Problem 1 transistors in this configuration have no voltage gain 2 the driving board will have a current limit which you just exceeded 3 the current capabilities of the transistor derates with voltage drop so increased supply voltage will decrease the availability of current without excessive heat 4 the voltage gain is likely from an op-amp that has a maximum voltage supply
Why add useless transistor? It doesn't mean more transistor = more power? You need to upgrade the power supply and some modifications to the driver stage for stable operation.
Looks good but I think the wire on the collectors is rather thin to carry 20 amps you may have a lot of voltage drop, It should be at least 1.5mm².You need also 20A secondary on transformer and a larger capacitor bank. I do not think now the base drive is enough for all those transistors.

It doesnt mean 50 x 20 = 1000 watts that your gonna get 1kw its more 900 watts or 850 cuz of the internal resistance of the transistors so if you want 1kw i recommend 75 0 75 volts 25 amps

Hi I just build the same circuit based on the same diagram but I have a problem. I used the same components except the BD139 becouse I had only BD140 in stock. Could this be the reason that at low volume levels the amp distorts but at higher levels its playing fine? Please let me know if you have something in mind about that. Thanks
Those heat sinks are not big enough for 1000W To get more power you need a higher voltage +/- 70 volts min. you also have to drive the power transisters harder, more volts, heaver wire #12 or #10. There are more things that need to be done.
I would like to see the output on an oscilloscope, a 10 KHz sine wave would show a huge amount of crossover distortion because there's no biasing network.

i have my 200+200 watt board but after seeing you, your board is made for that much watt, man i can see each resistor is 2 or 1 watt , but in my system there small watt resistense and also only three big transistor and remaining 7 transistor are so small and you have 7 big size , and also the size of capacitor is also big so i know you cant add more transistor in any board untill and unless we know the min and max watt capabilities of that particular board with input volt and amp

Yea. He said 50V. So it's completely voltage limited into 8ohm load. Even with 4ohm, it's only 300W.
Well it would hav perfomed better if the extra transistors were driven by 5200 and 1943 from the driver board
For 50V amp output you need 2.5 Ohms speakers to have 20A current. If speakers are only 4 Ohms, you get maximum 12.5A current and 625W power.

So there’s a 8 transistor versus one , but the capacitors kept the same in the drive unit. Seems fishy to me that it’s just this easy ....

You will never have 1040 watts because 35V/4ohm=8.75A PEAK! 8.75*35=306.25W PEAK! RMS is certainly about 200W!
