About the emulsion. It contains high amounts of squalane, which is a moisture-locker. Love this stuff, two pumps do my entire face, neck and decolletage. My concern is, that if it locks, then what happens with ingredients that I put on top of it, like oil and the creme? Theoretically they should not penetrate the emulsion. However in my experience, everything sinks right in to my dry skin.
Thank you for the info! I think it's a great product too, leaves a nice finish and definitely moisturizes me too! Yeah that's true, I wonder the same thing. If you're feeling nice and moisturized after you put another cream on top then it must be sinking in!
I love this routine, thank you for sharing! ❤ You mentioned before using the Valmont face exfoliant, do you have any thoughts on the La Mer oil exfoliator? And how do they compare in your opinion/your preference?
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I absolutely love the La Mer oil exfoliant too! My friend Brittany @bornblushing put me onto that one, and it's highly comparable to the Valmont! I really love both! The La Mer is very gritty too!
@CandyKeesh of course! I love interacting with everyone in the comments! I hope you enjoy whichever one you get! I did heard from another subscriber that they have recently reformulated the Valmont, and it isn't as gritty as before, so I hope the one you get is still the old version! Otherwise I would just get the La Mer! I did notice with the La Mer that towards the bottom of the tube, I have to kinda shake it/mix it up to get it more homogenous, the grittiness seems to separate from the oil, whereas the Valmont comes in a jar and it's a thicker paste-like consistency. Both are fantastically gritty though! 😘
Ooooh, love those notes! I'm a sucker for grapefruit, lemon, violet/iris, vetiver, rose, jasmine, gardenia, cedar, and the list goes on! But as soon as I see grapefruit as a top note, I'm like instantly hooked! Love aldehydes too!!!
You do not use Sisley products anymore? They do have great cleansers as well, like Lyslait - cleansing milk with lilly. I was trying to use La Mer products, but for the price - quality- result I would prefer La Prairie
I do use Sisley still! I just finished up their Floral Toning Lotion which is one of my favorite toners! I also absolutely LOVE their cleansing milks!!! I actually just started using the La Prairie toner! So far I am loving it!
Hi shaina ! Do you prefer la mer more than biologique recherche i'm about to change my br routine since i don't see any more results and don't like the new version of most products
@@smellyskin thank you. Are you interested in trying the serum essence from Genaissance line? From my understanding is that it’s the concentrate version of that line.
It's called Valmont Face Exfoliant. I heard they reformulated it though and it's not as scrubby, so I can't recommend it. If you want an equally amazing exfoliator, try the La Mer one, it's fantastic!
I know! Kind of weird, but at the same time, it is a pretty inexpensive product for La Mer's typical pricing, so maybe that's where they cut costs?! No idea!

@@smellyskin that’s great to know! I’ll purchase one to try and then the other. And you are so kind, thank you for replying! 🥰

Looking forward to the fragrances! What are your favorite notes? Mine is green and white floral, also aldehydic!

Thank you for your comment! At this moment, yes, basically for the same reasons you mentioned!
How long does it take you to go through the genessance?
A year or more! I only use a tiny bit at night!

Здравствуйте подскажите пожалуйста, как назывался эксфолиант Valmont точнее, спасибо

After the new treatment lotion’s heavy and luxurious bottle and cap, I am disappointed by the light plastic packaging of the emulsion...
