This is what happens when you hire a conductor who is French... good things with lovely pieces from Ravel we don't often hear. Great violinist (playing a Guarneri that was played by Isaac Stern), wonderful orchestra and AMAZING production quality. Thank you.

It is always a joy to come upon a piece you are not familiar with, and this piece by Ravel is a perfect example. Fabulous performance and obviously appreciated by the audience.

WOW! What an amazing orchestration! Capuçon was incredible as usual, but that orchestration is just so much in the spirit of Ravel's genius as an orchestrator without it being by Ravel. And so brilliantly played! Thank you for sharing this musical jewel for lack of a better expression! Cheers!

I have to say that the 2nd movement, the orchestration is amazing!! Really sounds a bit like gershwin music, obviously ravel was inspired by jazz american music, but in this orchestration really is a combination the beauty of harmonies of ravel, and the style of gershwin.

Wunderschöne und detaillierte Aufführung dieses kompakten doch perfekt komponierten Konzerts mit seidigem doch gut phrasiertem Ton der technisch fehlerlosen Solovioline sowie gut vereinigten und perfekt entsprechenden Tönen der anderen Instrumente. Der zweite Satz klingt echt jazzig und auch bezaubernd. Im Kontrast klingt der dritte Satz echt beweglich und auch lebhaft. Der intelligente und geniale Dirigent leitet das hoch funktionelle Orchester im veränderlichen Tempo und mit künstlerisch kontrollierter Dynamik. Wundervoll vom Anfang bis zum Ende!
