Agreed. This show has exceeded my expectations by fckng miles. Don't get me wrong there's the odd thing that irked me like the casting and behaviour of the laughing storm. The comedic music played when Aerion killed the horse but those are just nit picks. The casting of Dunc and Egg are perfect. Often in Got and HOTD the characters look absolutely nothing like their descriptions in the book and are a far cry from how you seen the characters in your mind. Dunc and Egg are almost exactly as they are described in the books. Sure Duncs a bit smaller in the show but not by much. Loving this show so much. I was sitting watching episode 3 just absolutely buzzing. Listening to young Egg talking about how he could be happy living "in a place like this" and how he fantasized about coming home a war hero etc was just fantastic. I was actually getting a little emotional watching it. And "fck your lambs!" just had me howling with laughter. Can't wait for episode 4. As you say "it's gonna be off the chain." Fck yeah it is. 👊

@jasonestebez1440 Its based on a Novella that you could read in 2 hours. Not exactly fodder for a 45-60 minute runtime show with 10 episodes per season.
So far so fckng awesome more like. So far the show is far exceeding my expectations. Not perfect. I don't like the casting of and the portrayal of the laughing storm. But it doesn't make much difference over all. Dunc and Egg are frickin perfect casting. In GOT and HOTD often the characters look nothing like the descriptions in the books but other than the laughing storm everyone looks pretty much as they should. Especially Dunc and Egg. Duncs a bit shorter but not by much. Can't wait for episode 4.

All we want to see is Ser Duncan the tall fight and finally it's happening...and the spoilers all around the RUclips of Egg being the lost prince and the way they show in the show doesn't feel like a mystery of a little squire at all...😢

Because it's not based on whole books but novellas.
The episodes are meant to be 30 minutes long, it's based on a short story in comparison to the ASOIAF novels. If they were any longer then they'd be shoving in slop to pad out time.
Would be hard to squeeze the trial in, with Dunk needing to convince 6 knights to help him probably being the entire episode 4. Trial and fallout episode 5 and post tourney episode 6.

It didn't happen in the last 300 years or so. Trial of Seven is a really old concept. And of course, it opens a path for exposition. I don't remember how it was in the book exactly but Martin puts it in the flow quite well.
These people are aristocrats, they are not that versed in law.
