In tamil version, Vijay looked more like auto driver than a gangster, serial cuts and poor frames. Kannada version had too mnay serial cuts and so funny, but better than Tamil version at some places.

He came back through Thirumalai in 2003 (Its remake is Gowri starring Sumanth) which was blockbuster and transformed him from romantic hero to action hero.
