This is the gross bias against women; Lauryn was critisized for getting pregnant while working on a project; Critisized for going solo; Critisized for using unknown producers!! She couldn't catch a break! Thanks to her tenacity, this album became so legendary!!!
This Album is truly a timeless masterpiece for me I can’t just listen to one song off the album if I have to listen to it I have to listen to it in its entirety, also you can tell Kanye West was inspired by this for his Album college dropout with the school skits, talking of which could you do a vid on college dropout next, also the carnival by Wyclef another classic that’s got better with age
That's fast! I genuinely appreciate people taking the time out of their day to watch my vids. You could be doing numerous other things but spending 30 minutes of your time to watch is all love
Doo wop and Ex factor was two songs that were in rotation on South African stations, Lauryn Hill was and eternally that girl. The whole record was everything I needed to listen in my early 20s and how it helped me with life, love and my relationship with God. I still to this day incorporate some of her 'miseducation' to my everyday life.
This is my all time favorite album. I was 11 when it came out. But listening to it during different phases in my life just gave me a different feel/vibe every single time. A masterpiece!
Your channel has to be one of the best hiphop related channels i have ever watched. The detication your have with these albums is amazing. How do you find time to listen to it all and research it? Great video
9:14 Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you for this!!! Do you know there's people out there that's saying that my goat, Lauryn 'L Boogie' Hill didn't write?!!! They need to see this!!!
The way nobody could tell my eight year old self a damn thing about L Boogie back then??? Whew. This album was absolutely the truth & I was a fan from Sister Act & loved her in the Fugees. Plus 1998 was one of the best years of my childhood. So my short life was made in 1998. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
This, DMX and Ruff Ryders vol1 and 2. Considering whom my sister is today..going back to TLC, Brandy..my sis put me on to some stuff. This takes me back to a good space. Thanks Clout. P.S. ironically, my first adult love broke up with me to "ex-factor".😂 savage, but music speaks sometimes when we can't..or just need to prove a point lol. Peace.
Bro genuinely you have one of the best hip hop related youtube channels rn. Thank you for your work.
@@yuppppooooiiiuyyy I appreciate the love 🙏

Another example of how a lot of times labels have no idea what their talking about
I was born in ‘98😂😂, but the first time I heard this album I was blown away😭. Ex-Factor one of the greatest songs I’ve ever heard🔥
The industry didn't know what to do with her, they couldn't interpret her mindset. She was way ahead of her time.

This was a solid classic. Beautiful music
Pete Rock - "Soul Survivor" is a great album. Highly recommend that one. 98 might be the best year in hip-hop
96 too
98 was the year I graduated from high school. Money was tight, I didn’t have a large CD collection but best believe I owned this one❤
The Lauryn Hill album has aged exceptionally.

I loved this album since I was a child
you should do Wyclef Carnival now
I saw her live years ago, she's amazing!
Nas was also suppose to be on this Album. My Question is Which Song was Nas suppose to be on ?
Probably Final Hour 🔥🔥I’m glad it was just her though! They killed “Nobody” together and I’m sure Nas will be on the new Fugees album
@@EMNIDOG79wat new fugees album? R they recording a new album? If so this is news to me. 😮
lol tommy wanted Lauryn to do another group yet Mariah couldn’t collab with ODB
Awesome content! Let's see a video on Ricky Rozay.
You should do Soulja boy Juice mixtape era
Can you do a review on the No Way Out album I know Biggie was the main inspiration behind that project
Do Bone Thugs-N-Harmony E. 1999 Eternal
And now we have Sexy Red.
We had Lil Kim back then too. Both are necessary. Both are purposeful.
Smh 🤮
And we had Trina, lil Kim and foxy brown back in the day
