Thanks for good information. I bought one used but barely used. Still had plastic on feet. No leaders so I was able to order a set. Missing one clip. This is a first for me. I am sure I will watch this video over and over. Thank you.
I purchased this frame last month and am so excited to start! As a novice quilter, I am a bit intimidated by this process, BUT, this video is AWESOME to help me understand the hows and whys of the process! Very detailed and very informative. Thank you for the careful details and demonstration! I can do this! .......even today! Encouraged and inspired!
My boys got SR-2 for me for Christmas and can't wait use it. Going to put my leader cloth on now, thank you for this video very helpful, she explained it very simple and to the point.
I just got my SR2 frame this week and put it together today! This has been very informative to me and answered a lot of questions for me..thanks for the video, I now feel confidant about using it!!
Thanks for the video. Has anyone tried making another quilted piece to add to a queen size to make it a king size? (using the traditional technique used in quilt as you go)
I have the SR2 and looking forward to quilting with it. I currently have a practice quilt loaded on it , thanks you for your help with that! I have found that when quilting a row, there is an area that the carriage does not glide as easily as the rest. My husband checked the track and found a rough area, that he smoothed, but the problem persists. Has anyone encountered this?
Whoa! Did she just chop off the last several inches of her quilt top there at the end? Now, with the cheater "top" she was using, that was okay -- But had that been a carefully pieced and patterned top, not good. What's the problem? Did she simply not cut her backing fabric long enough?
She was showing how to load and use the SR2 frame. Obviously just needed to clear the end of the quilt for that purpose. Its ok. I have never had any issues with backings or sides coming up short with any of the quilts i have done on this frame.
Why do you not demonstrate a Brother PQ1500S (Babylock, Janome) on this frame? Especially for those that have a straight stitch machine that this frame works with, and are not interested in purchasing a Q'Nique? Also, The demonstration here is very poor on the "sewing" of sides and top. She is obviously "pushing" excess fabric up under the take up rail? Not to mention the tension utilized on the top, batting and backing is a lot looser than it should be. Just curious here as I have an SR2 due to arrive soon. Please choose another person to adequately demonstrate this frames capabilities. Thank you.
+TexasCowpatti WOW... harsh. I thought she did a nice job. She didn't talk too fast or speed through it like many videos do. I felt like I thoroughly understood what was going on. Of course they are only going to demo their own machine... why would a business show you someone else's machine? Since you are getting an SR2 frame soon, perhaps you could put up a video review showing your machine. I liked this video but let's face it... it's by the maker of the frame so not exactly unbiased. User review videos are always preferable. I do agree, it would have been nice seeing some of the actual quilting going on. Looked like she had a pantograph on the frame and it would have been nice to see that in action too. As far as the gal doing the demo, I thought she did a good job.
BCG5, and if they are selling their SR2 frame coupled with Juki's, Brother's, etc through other distributors besides themselves, they in turn should put up comparative videos. Specificity to their product is not the game to play. And after receiving the SR2 and some discombobulation on Grace's part with regards to 4 separate shipments, (and waiting for their supplier for metal parts for over 6 weeks) last one having been given a wrong tracking number.............I am less than pleased with their customer service. This was after 5 emails directly to their site. No answer received as yet either. Thank God, the distributor I ordered through, had Technicians that were very up to the task that Grace should have taken on themselves. Those of us that shop via the Internet, perhaps are harsher when it comes to reviews, but it's what we base our decisions and purchases on. Point in fact, in utilizing the SR2, the video was less than stellar. Truth is brutal, and I'm not a PC fan, nor advocate.
I just bought a used Grace frame and tried to call for more information. The gal that answered was snippy and rude. I am glad I did not pay full price for anything from this company. Seriously they need to be a little more "Gracious"...pun completely intended!
TexasCowpatti, any update on your deliveries? Are you up and running? If so, how is your 1500S working on it? I am shopping for a frame for my own 1500s after looking at the Brother Dream Fabric Frame and deciding that I don't like the entire thing floating. How on earth does it stay sandwiched properly with all that shifting front to back and side to side. Nobody answers that question, so I'm not comfortable forking over two thousand dollars for it. Looking at the smaller Grace frames now. Help is very appreciated :)

The best tutorial yet on loading fabric! Very helpful. Thank you.

This is a great video!
So you measure 18 inches in from each rail end. I just received mine today and glad I watched this video. I do cut them to fit, correct?
Can you do a video on How to put the perfect pattern on your carriage that you put your machine on?

Deb, lol! But feel your pain on your ahem "request for further info". Not sure what frame you have, but if I can help, be glad to do so, just holler!
