I interpreted this as someone not having to actually do the hard parts of something but taking the credit on the surface, but in truth there are people doing the much more risky and straining tasks who go unnoticed.
I saw as someone who everyone thinks have the most amazing adventures, but in reality the adventure itself is lived by a stunt or is an illusion
I take this as someone who gives credit to people who do the stunts so they can shine as well.
Or everything is fake in the USA. Given that even the food is full of stuff that isn’t food too makes it a ‘fair comment’ point. Notice that he’s saying ‘my friends are in love with American girls’. He doesn’t say he is. Possibly the ‘American girls’ is a double meaning for American stuff. So many fake things. Silicon filling, dyed hair, fake nails. Rubbish cars that have huge engines making a lot of noise but are ugly. Huge pick up trucks just to go supermarket shopping in. Just aesthetics and no substance or character. Even your government administration is full of people that are just pretending to be something they’re not (qualified, experienced politicians that have morals) and are just thinking of how they’re perceived on the small screen and how much money they can make for themselves.
