      Yip. What popular device do you suggest, an IRF510 type or a BJT?

      I'm working on a 20m QRP SSB xcvr and a few people suggested I use a Mitsubishi RD06HHF1. They cost about 6 quid in the UK.

      Thanks Rob. It's coming along nicely. The Siglent test equipment gear is working very well. Very handy. Still debating about a SNA.

    Can I sub 2n2222's for the 2n3904's? I have a TON of house marked PN2222's with short cut leads (surplus). The FT and HFE may be a bit different, but resistor values can be adjusted.

      Can't see why not Kenneth. The HFE numbers are very similar, as are the Ft. I'd say there would be very little difference in performance if you were to simply substitute the 2N2222 in and make no other changes. Give it a go.
