The identity cannot be revived, so when ever each contestant coming into the studio, they and their friends have to be covered with the cloaks and masks. Only a few staffs knows their identities. They all signed a contracts with the show, and I've heard the fine is about 1 Million baht in case they break the contract. The number of contestants on the first season was 36 people. They will go head to head. Each week 2 people will be removed off his mask and be eliminated.
The mask choice is selected by the celebrities themselves. The designer at Workpoint then took the concept and design the mask and outfits. Normally, the mask choice is the clue by the celebrities background or preferences. For example, the black crow who he is and pop old artist (I think he is 40+) is from his inspiration from the movie called 'the crow' by Brandon Lee. the crow resurrected Lee from the dead. So, People always misjudge the crow in a bad way but, to him, the crow is the symbol of his resurrection. So, the mask has a deep meaning. For Durian, Tom like to eat it and he said that he is like this fruit and if you try to listen to him once you will love him. The deepest meaning one is the Octotus mask, her character comes from the Disney cartoon the Little Mermaid. the octopus is name 'Ursula ' who take the beautiful voice from little mermaid. so, since a child, this celebrity always want a good voice like little mermaid so she pick Ursula to borrow the voice for this show.

The mask singer is a singing compettition like the Voice. Nobody knows who they are. If you want to know you can vote them out of compettition and they will take off their mask. But if you want to hear they sing again you vote them to stay.
