The identity cannot be revived, so when ever each contestant coming into the studio, they and their friends have to be covered with the cloaks and masks. Only a few staffs knows their identities. They all signed a contracts with the show, and I've heard the fine is about 1 Million baht in case they break the contract. So they cannot tell anyone, some of them didn't even tell their spouse about this.
The rumor has it that not even the WorkPoints's owner (WorkPoints is the TV Station on Channel 23) So, very small amount of people knows. That's the most fun part of it.
Those bodyguards will guard them all the time when they come into the studio and are not allowed to talk to anyone or meet with anyone.

In this show, there are totally 32 different mask singers, who are famous as singers or actors/actresses. They are divided into 4 brackets of 8 person. They contest head to head for 1 song only. The winner will be advanced to the next stage, while the loser has to take off his/her mask to reveal his face.
The winner of this 1st season is the Durian Mask and the runner-up is the Crow mask.
Hope this helps.
They either talk about the performance or try to guess who is the performer under that mask. So, you don't have to worry about what they are saying. The scores come from them partially and the audiences majorly.

yo i am from thailand and the mask singer is actually a competition where the real singers from all generations in Thailand come to compete in a show and the rule is anyone who lost will be required to unmask themselves and for the judges, their jobs are to figure out who they are. so the durian mask is actually thai singer whose name is tom from the band called ROOM39

There were totally 32 people/masks on the first season. Season 2 is still airing now in Thailand.
That new dude is หน้ากากหมูป่า which means "boar mask". Just copy and paste the word and you will find some interesting vids that will surprise you, especially the performance on Adele song.
The mask choice is selected by the celebrities themselves. The designer at Workpoint then took the concept and design the mask and outfits. Normally, the mask choice is the clue by the celebrities background or preferences. For example, the black crow who he is and pop old artist (I think he is 40+) is from his inspiration from the movie called 'the crow' by Brandon Lee. the crow resurrected Lee from the dead. So, People always misjudge the crow in a bad way but, to him, the crow is the symbol of his resurrection. So, the mask has a deep meaning. For Durian, Tom like to eat it and he said that he is like this fruit and if you try to listen to him once you will love him. The deepest meaning one is the Octotus mask, her character comes from the Disney cartoon the Little Mermaid. the octopus is name 'Ursula ' who take the beautiful voice from little mermaid. so, since a child, this celebrity always want a good voice like little mermaid so she pick Ursula to borrow the voice for this show.

The part of Q and A : judgers are trying to ask questions to each masked singles to reveal their real identities , (judgers are also have someone in mind ) so they are trying to dig information as much as possible to confirm , masked singers are trying to hide their identities ,so they have to distract the judgers as much as possible, that's why q and a part always funny :) , hope this help

The show is called "the mask singer Thailand". This show gathered Thai celebrities and let them wore a mask, the celebrities' choice. Each week, there's a singing competition among the celebs, whoever lost will have to reveal their faces. There're 32 masks each season.
This season ended and the durian mask is the winner. The crow came second. The Kangaroo and the dragon lady won the third place.
I would recommend you to watch "Versace on the Floor" by the Kangaroo.

There are total 32 mask singers join the competition per season, separated by group (A, B, C, D).
The winner of each group will compete with others at the semi-final and final round at the end.
The mask singer is a singing compettition like the Voice. Nobody knows who they are. If you want to know you can vote them out of compettition and they will take off their mask. But if you want to hear they sing again you vote them to stay.
