Atlanta is using New York and California as a basis for the rent pricing. The income in Georgia is not the same as California and New York. People from California doesn’t like Atlanta’s weather and lack of beaches. New Yorks complain about it being too quiet and the lack of every 5 minute public bus and train services. They can’t believe that an International place isn’t ‘opened’ 24 hours.

They lying... THAT'S NOT GOOD NEWS..WTH...1,600 + for a one bedroom apartment is outrageous. Y'ALL wanna make it affordable..bring back the 500.00 studios, 700.00 1 bedroom...950.00 two bedrooms 3 bedrooms 1,100. Ppl making THAT KINDA INCOME! Then they had the gall to interview someone who probably haven't known or even seen a financial hardship ever!

It’s called CURRENCY DEBASEMENT!!! Hair cuts, medical services etc are higher because the currency is getting weaker.

They're not lying here. It's been long known that we have a huge backlog of housing to be built and we've been building like crazy. No the price isn't going to go from $1,500 to $1,100 in a year.

People are buying and not renting. Why rent when you can buy and pay less on a mortgage. These bootleg run down apartments charging too much has competition now.

Buying a home at 7-9% interest + principal, rising property taxes, insurance cost, and HOA fees is NOT cheaper than renting.

@@GeorgiaMade404 Keep paying your landlords mortgage and investing in their future. You can't buy one because you want something that is well above your means of paying for. Get something affordable. That's like saying you would rather rent a car instead of buying one.

I hope that rent stays high! Cheap rent brings undesirables and a certain demographic I don’t care to live around. As long as the rent is sky high, your neighborhood remains safe
