1- Cut the sugar ( find a substitute)
2- oils : use EV olive oil , avocado oil , coconut 🥥 oil
(take a pre and probiotic daily )
    3 protein protein protein
    4 green vegetables 🥦!
5- still have fruit , opt for lower sugar eg raspberries, don’t go over board

For many with gut inflammation green veggies are are huge no no. Green veggies of all types were my absolute favorite food but I no longer can consume greens as no tomatoes 100%. All what used to be a favorite snack. So know your gut does and don't do.

Great video! My best tips… lost 45 lbs and have kept it off for 7 years.
    1. Sautee veggies with water, and skip all oils.
    2. First meal of the day is protein. Break every fast with protein.
    3. Watch the condiments… lots of calories sneak in and sugar. Instead try new spices! Yum!

For the people that want that beef taste in things, I’ve found that you can actually fry a small amount of hamburger in the same pan with ground turkey and the turkey will end up tasting more like the beef. So if you can’t give up beef completely, you can still cut the amount in the recipe by switching at least half of the ground beef called for to turkey. Just cook it all together and you get a more uniform beefy flavor but with half of that meat content and calories trimmed significantly down with the addition of ground turkey. It really does work. My husband would say hell no to turkey chili on its own, but he didn’t even realize the switch when I added turkey cooked with beef to the pot. It barely registers as different when you do that. Bonus-turkey is less expensive than beef. So win for the waistline AND the bank account-especially when feeding a family with multiple kids in it so you need more of everything.

Hi. I'm new and so thankful. I agree with you about your advice , actively changed my diet due to dangerous high diabetes. Changed my numbers on my own day one that I decided to do zeo- low carb no sugar diet. Added leafy greens high fiber, nuts, seeds, little bit of berries. *apple cider vinegar, lemon juice and cayanne pepper water drink was key for me. Started 2 mos ago and changed numbers from high 200 fasting morn. to 80- 110 straight for 2 mos ( well had to high days due to leaning what triggers my sugar spikes). Must mention I've worked out everyday too. Incorporated brisk walking, light crossfit 15-20 min. and stretching. I appreciate you and God bless you. Health peace and joy to you.
God gave me discipline and strong will to not give in ❤ . Praying for all and may we all be illness free.

Girl I was 305 almost 17yrs ago. I yo-yod back and forth for like 9 yrs after that until I figured out how to eat right through Herbalife Nutrition and having a coach through social media to follow up with once a week. I was also involved with a chat they provided where there were several of us trying to lose weight together!!
I lost down to 137lbs!! Then I fell off track and slowly fell back into my bad habits. Now after all the hard work, I am up to 156lbs. So I’ve gained almost 20lbs back and I’m struggling!! So I’m glad I found your channel!! Hopefully I can get back on track and get this back under control before I really mess up!! I am now in Perry menopause and so that makes it that much harder to lose and keep off, but I know with the Lord helping me and also following your channel and advice, hopefully I can get back into the right mindset and stay there!! When choosing a sweetener, choose one without maltodextrin! It is a base made from corn, and it adds 1/3 to 1/2 of a carb to each teaspoon. It WILL add up. Liquid sweeteners do not have this, and neither does powdered erythritol or allulose.

Thanks for the tips! I have to say that I thought to lose weight, I had to go plant based and stay away from meats. I was also doing weight watchers and the fruits and veggies were zero points. I hired a nutrition and fitness coach and boy was I wrong. You are absolutely right that we need protein to lose weight and the nutritionist stresses it should come from animals and not plants. He also states fruits and vegetables are not to be consumed “unlimited” as you mentioned, fruits have sugar, which is ok, but not in abundance. Thanks for sharing your tips and what worked for you! ❤

I appreciate your comment so much!! The VEGANS have been coming after me because this is exactly what I experienced!! I went vegan a few years ago and my weight and blood sugar skyrocketed. All the grains and fruit (carbs) were not good for MY BODY. I finally switched to a high protein, low carb diet and I immediately lost the extra pounds and my blood sugar normalized. And yes... high quality animal protein is the best bioavailable protein for the body! I had to eat so many beans, soy, etc to feel satiated when I was vegan. Now just 4 oz of chicken or fish is so satisfying. I feel and look great!

I apologize for the late reply. I’m so glad that you are doing better and that you lost the extra weight. That’s awesome! 👏 One of the things I told my coach was there is so much misinformation out there to where I felt like the vegetarians say don’t eat meat and you’ll live longer, then the keto group says meat fixed their health issues. I needed someone to help me sort the BS. I am a cancer survivor and I was led to believe that plant based was the only way to go. I found out that wasn’t true. I am learning to add in lean meat to get my protein but I also try to make sure the meat is grass fed and grass finished and turkey or chicken without antibiotics or hormones. I do think that one diet may not work for everyone and to each their own.😉
      Good luck to you!

Omg period week is crazy. Especially a few days before it starts. I crave carbs.
    I crave chocolate. Soda. Chips.
Who has time to bake a potato? 😂
Ever since i started my health journey i am mindful of what and how much i eat junk when im on my period.
For example today i had stew and it had potatoes in it and i ate it with bread. 🥖 that long french bread. A few tiny slices.
But that was it. I knew I should not eat anymore bread today.
Can you make a video on whats ok to eat on your period?
If i want chips which bag is healthy?
I recently bought a bag of chips that has that eagle on it. The lime flavor is amazing.

I agree about the sweetener substitute. We've been using Stevie for many years, and it really does make a difference ... it does not cause the pancreas to pump out insulin like sugar, syrup, and corn syrup do.

Fats from meats are not nearly an issue... it's the inflammatory oils, sugars and frequent snacking/eating that seems to work against your weight loss maintenence. Good video

My niece's son just turned 10 years old last week, and my sisters his mom and myself went to a soul food restaurant, the food is so good. my frist dish was a salad, it was so delicious and good. They had had so many flavors of arugula, and black olives, dice apples, dice tomatoes, every thing. and my second dinner was grill shrimp and broccoli with a sauce.

I switched to avocado oil since watching you. 😊
Also i can NOT stand extra virgin olive oil on salads. It’s way too strong tasting. No way.
I still use extra virgin olive oil when cooking but since i started avocado oil i cook fry with it more.
You can NOT taste the avocado.

I think different people’s bodies/weight loss respond differently to different diets. I eat mostly WFPB-no-SOS (salt, oil, sugar). When I focused on animal protein, I could not lose weight. I now eat meat only twice a week…not two days a week, two times. I have no joint pain. Sleep better. Etc. That’s what works for my body. I very, very rarely eat anything processed, other than organic almond milk. Oh, and I eat natural carbs, like those mentioned in the Starch Based Solution diets, but limit them to one a day…which are the veggies you mention (sweet potato, for example). I eat limited fruit EXCEPT for berries. Have lost an entire person. 😃

you could look into intermittent fasting. it cure me of snacking, cravings and crazy yo yo dieting. i’ve been doing it for 8 years and can’t even think of NOT doing it. i started out with 8 hours of eating but now i do 2 meals in 4 or 5 hours with no problem. i don’t get hungry & i don’t have cravings any more.
