I applied for my tachograph card in December and just passed my mod 4 cpc. I think you can apply for the tacho card before your cpc card arrives. Got my Cat C +E Fast track course starting next Saturday. #excited
Good stuff,I have been involved as a Health and Safety Adviser for over 20 years, had a guts full be honest and want to get out on the road , did have class 2 years ago but want to get class 1 now,
Love the video. Keep on thinking about it but never actually start the process. Did get my 7.5 C1 license back 14 years ago, but ended up working in care where I still am. Looking to get out of that. The amount of back stabbing in there is unbelievable. Any, thanks for showing us how to start the process. Maybe I'll bite the bullet and do something about it 👍
Hi mate, been following for a while. I have my practical course in a week I have a question? may make a good video at some point ;) What are the must have things in your bag for daily use?
15 minors allowed on test, up to 5 on walk round show me tell me. And you can get your digital tacho before you pass. CPC card doesn't need to be waited for unless you haven't got your daily certs for thw CPC course you attended. I have a retest on March 16th for class 1. Done 7.5t flatbed work for over 25yrs so not new to trucking, but want a better pay packet.
Hi thank you for taking your time to explain this to us. Can i just ask you if I need to do all of this if I only want be an owner and a driver. I wanted to invest in a couple of lorries and get drivers to do the drops. Please let me know. Thanks you in advance.
Hey, I’m planning on getting into HGV driving as soon as possible but still need to get my full drivers license. Do you know if you need some years experience driving regular cars before you can get into HGV or can you go into training right after you get your license?
In reality, the HGV practical driving schools don't want to lose the C money they were getting. There's one near me won't entertain it and say they'll train you 5 days in a C class then another 5 in C+E class... £3500 all in, no going straight from B to C+E,, even if you have a C1.
Passed my class 1 about a month ago. Keep applying for jobs but they are ignored as I have no experience. How do I get experience unless someone gives me a job. ?
@@Roadshome I have the same problem, applied for every single job in my area, it´s always a no because of no experience or just getting ignored. Blows my mind how they all want you to have experience, but how are you meant to get on the job experience if no one is giving you a chance. passed on the 31st January... :(

Think it's changed to 11 minor faults now mate
@Brendan Spencer no... 14 allowed, 15 is a fail.
Just passed C+E today with two minors. Both collected in the last 1/4mile, an almost perfect run 👍
@@truckitprayle PASSED! 😁👍
John Shaw congratulations mate I passed mine 2 weeks ago I got 4 minor faults but was happy days

I would imagine you only need the licence to driver them not to be a owner operator, however im not 100% sure on this so look into it.
@@truckitprayle thank you so much. I appreciate your help and quick reply.
@@truckitprayle apparently I would have to get an cdl (commercial drivers license) to become an owner operator.

I mean theres nothing legally stopping you but i definitely wouldn't recommend it, it would be like having 1 boxing match then facing tyson fury..
@@truckitprayle haha, yeah thought so. alright thats no problem, thank you!

Hi there quick question I have Uk full car license do I have to apply for a hgv license separate let me know if you can please thanks
Yes mate you do its a totally new license, good luck! 👍
Can you pay hourly for hgv driving lessons?
Not that im aware of mate, but i don't know for sure.

I found the best way when i first passed my test was to go into see the manager and have a chat 1 on 1 thats how i got my first job.
@@truckitprayle cheers. Will give it go.

@@GermanLiam it's frustrating. I can understand that a wagon is a lot of money but if we are not given the chance how do we proceed 🤷🏼♂️
if i passed my hgv licence in Poland can i drive in UK ? if i'd like to move there
I believe you can mate but not 100% sure.
