Love the tour! Im after a 4x4 sprinter but the dealerships say they have stopped making the 4x4 sprinter for Aus! Do you know anything about this?
Hey Kyle! Yeah Mercedes have discontinued the 4X4 model & now only do the all wheel drive option. We purchased our van just before they changed this! You’d have to be on the lookout for a second hand one!
I’ve been looking at the 4x4 Sprinters, but hard to find one in Oz now. I’m now learning towards the Crafter 4motion with factory rear diff locker. From the videos I’ve seen on this platform they look really capable and come at a significant discount to the Sprinter. I’d have to wait for both so might as well save some money and put it towards the fitout.

How do you find the upgraded suspension? If you were building another van it would it be an option you would go for considering the $?
Love the suspension! Would definitely include it again if we were to build a future van, worth the money!

Did you look at doing a lift?
Can you play with the cruise control to get 35 inch tyres?
Yeh I did, the vancompass lift is a body lift which is hard to engineer in NSW so just left it. Can also buy a flash tune to get around the cruise control issue
I'm surprised that you have not been pulled over given the rear number plate is mostly covered by the wheel & bag.

No worries :) Yeh bigger tyres affects the final diff ratio. Speedo is out by about 7%
We have a 2022 419 4x4 empty about to start build. With the swivel seats, 90L full fuel and cargo floor it weighs 2500kg. I have watched your interior an exterior videos. What does your van actually weigh fully loaded with what you have described in the videos? Thanks

Might be a weird request but can you upload a video of the turn signals in rear? In North America we don’t have ambers the red part flashes and id like to show a dealer here the Aussie version so maybe I could swap mine out

I came to Australia from the US and tried to buy one of those 4x4 Sprinters here and the dealer told me that they don;t sell 4x4. Only all wheel drive. How did you get the 4x4. I thought that they only sell those in the US. I am super confused. I like your setup. I bought a brand new troopy but will sell it in a flash if I can get those Sprinters here. Can you confirm whether yours is proper 4x4 and how woud I get one? Thank you
Hey John! They have discontinued the 4X4 model & now you can only get all wheel drive. We purchased our van just before Mercedes changed this.
It’s proper 4X4 with low range & transfer case etc… not sure if we’ve filmed showing this is any of our videos.
To get a hold of one now you’d need to be on the lookout for someone selling one second hand. We’ve heard they are hot property though!

Do you have Adaptive Cruise Control working ok with your tyre & rim setup?
Adaptive cruise control works fine. This is the biggest size you can go before you need to reprogram
