Cool to see you showing interest in 45s. It's a whole different world, but very rewarding music wise, as well as being rewarding on a monetary level. I don't think I ever heard that French Church 45... Very cool. Yes, that RCA sleeve would be correct for a 45 from 1970. That design first appeared in 1970.
Going by Mid Day Rain's catalog number (74-0338) it was released spring of 1970. A promo copy from a radio station listed on eBay bears the hand written date April 16, 1970 But the single online -- all promo copies -- is a bit pricey, ranging from $50 to $422. That RCA pop-art sleeve fits the time period..
Never could find that fantastic Dovers 45! If I did it would have been included on The Psych Unks! I guess the East coast was too far away for even promo copies... Didn't know the Mid Day Rain 45 but sounds great!
Luv all Dovers 45s. The Third Eye is stunning early psych. You nailed it with your comparison to the Byrds - 8 Miles High, although I prefer Third Eye. F’n killer track.
Myrth ? Ha! I don't think I've heard anyone mention that lp on any of these channels before; great album all the same. The French Church single sounded pretty cool. Cheers!
If you ever see the 45 of "Time Will Show The Wiser" by the Merry-Go-Round, grab it! It's a way better (IMO) mix than what's on the LP. The rhythm section is more pronounced.
Yeah, I think the ranking out of 10 was more about how essential or highly important it is to collectors. I guess it’s head is above water at the 5 mark lol
@@PsycheDerek. Right..., I guess some of the more obscure stuff will get a higher score due partly to it's rarity status, as well as it's cool-factor. Hey... who shouted The Driving Stupid?😎

Thanks for the great video I enjoyed all the singles
Another 2 great songs in that
Birds style:
The Joint effort-the third eye
Dennis & the times -flight patterns both from 67 if my memory serves me well
Thanks for sharing. Friday Mourning was my favorite of these.

Dovers is obscure as hell. I think I’ve only seen one other person share it on Instagram, and the rest were photo uploads for rym & stuff.
8:46 1943, That has to be the earliest fuzz single.

I don’t know, doesn’t Myrth have a ton of brass? Not a good memory from what I recall.

I do have one of their singles, but desperately need their LP.
5 out of 10 for the Prunes! Huh. The Mid Day Rain 45 is great! Been hunting down a copy for years, but it's pretty expensive.

Holy cow, how many singles are referenced in Teen Beat Mayhem.
Several. It’s the ultimate guide.
Great video as always
