I miss seeing Fr. Ted with the frequency I did years ago, but I have visited his gravesite. I know his soul is among a pantheon of religious men in a very holy place. The University of Notre Dame, which he influenced, was always our home. And every Catholic home underscores the significance of the Nativity in salvation history. Fr. Ted taught me that much.

The once glorious Catholic university bearing the name of Our Lady became, under his leadership, the Secular University of South Bend. For 30 pieces of silver.
