I know this video is two years old, but I just wanted to say how much I love the idea of typing and printing on drawing paper and then spiral binding after the fact! I was watching this video for my older child, but this will be tremendously helpful for my dyslexic/dysgraphic and lefty middle child!
I think what I LOVE most is the lesson books. I just love that and it becomes a great scrapbook but also a reference tool written in something that your child understands. Like a journal that you would build on.
I think it's a captivating quality of this educational philosophy. It's certainly the thing I'm most proud of when it comes to student work. The educational benefits exceed academics when it comes to these main lesson books, it becomes iconic in their homeschool experience and hopefully helps create fond memories.
Thank you so much. I wanted to ask, as I have for the past few years chosen to take Eugene Schwartz online Waldorf class for the grades, I then gather lots of books from Waldorf sites and the library. It takes about 2-3 months for me to have it all ready for school, but then have learned the materials well. I have used Live Ed before and thought they were great, but no longer can find them used to purchase. I was wondering if you have compared these two ways, the Live Ed material vs. Eugene's online class, and your thoughts?
It's going to be tough finding Live Ed books second hand as we are not supposed to sell them reused, though I know I've seen them circulating. We've never taken the online classes, but what a great idea. what's the format? Overview of each grade or more of a breakdown? Having not taken them, I can't offer a good comparison except I'm more of a book/paper person myself.
Yes, thank you. The online I really like as it walks you through videos showing you what to do and the rest is audio. He goes into the depths of Waldorf which is very helpful. They show pictures from the main lesson books as well. One of the presenters offers songs which we really loved and continue to sing well past 3rd grade. We are going into 6th grade this year. I have not taken this online class every year but for the times I have I never regretted it. Thank you for your reply on this.
Thank you for this video, It looks like it's going to be a fun school year for you guys. Those main lesson books are just so beautiful wht a wonderful keepsake as well as a reference for future use! Do you think you will be making a video of the supplemental books you will be adding? I'm just curious because we are also going through the middle ages this year but ours is a year long study. My kids tend to remember things better as well when we add historical fiction books. Thank so much for you great videos they always leave me feeling inspired! Jenn
Thank you Jenn :) You're in luck because I'll be posting a just that video soon! Since we already did the Middle Ages, I have all the books and projects, so I'll be sharing those soon.
Hana, your contribution to the homeschooling community is unique! Thank you
Thank you Hind :)

Your children’s main lesson books are beautiful
Hello Hana. When working with grammar at this age do you ever add in a page from another source for your student to work on daily?
Hi Michelle, yes, I add grammar in other ways. I wrote my own curriculum for grammar inspired by the Susan Wise Bauer program.
That's great. Would you recommend The Susan Wise Baur program for someone that isn't good in this area?
Yes definitely. I really like the program a lot.
Great video, Hanna any chance you can link what type of paper used to print from the computer and then also draw on it? Thanks so much for sharing! :)
