Could the "sticking points" in the negotiations be Hamas's insistence on both a *_permanent_*_ ceasefire_ and the release of hostages and Netanyahu's promise to "eliminate Hamas" after any *_temporary_*_ pause_ to obtain hostages? It is hard to believe that the main points of contention in _privat._ are not these "public" positions. It seems everything is a "secret" nowadays, even if the public knows about it.

Maybe 10 or 20 years if the world cooperates. It seems like the world perpetuating the problem by funding UNRWA and only blaming Israel.
