This song is an outlet for my emotions. My parents divorced when I was in 6th grade, which was only 3 years ago. I have recently been diagnosed with 2 types of ADHD and multiple other emotion disorders. I also have anxiety and all of the stress ha given me Vocal cord dysfunction, which is like asthma. Because of it I can’t play sports like I used to so I lost a lot of friends I had from sports. My best friend passed away a few months ago. He had talked about his depression before and I did everything I could. It just wasn’t enough. People always tell me how hard their life is, but I’m falling apart inside. I never show it because I’m afraid of being judged or treated differently. These lyrics just hit way too close to home.

Sitting here listening and trying to find a reason to hang on. Mood swings, depression, thoughts that never seem to leave. Only thing holding me back is my duty as a father. Have no sense of self and always feel like I’m failing in every aspect of my life. Have something good happen only to have that feeling taken immediately. I’m a dad, bipolar depression. All my life is is full time work and extreme anxiety and low days.. I love my kids but I never want them to see me so low I’m trying so hard I’ve taken medications for years, therapy didn’t help, being admitted didn’t help..just feels like I can’t be fixed.
I'm going down a dark path with my alcohol problems I was sober for a year but I relapsed a month ago I been trying so hard to be strong for my girl while she's in the mental health care facility but I'm sorry to tell her when she gets out in March that I relapsed I don't want to lose her because of what I'm going through but she's been trying her best to fix my heart that's been broken to many times I been with her for a year and I been a few weeks sober from alcohol I'll try my best to stay clean for her til she gets out I can't wait to move in with her in March so until that time comes I'll try my hardest to stay clean for her for the next three months

I'm going down a dark path with my alcohol problems I was sober for a year but I relapsed a month ago I been trying so hard to be strong for my girl while she's in the mental health care facility but I'm sorry to tell her when she gets out in March that I relapsed I don't want to lose her because of what I'm going through but she's been trying her best to fix my heart that's been broken to many times I been with her for a year and I been a few weeks sober from alcohol I'll try my best to stay clean for her til she gets out I can't wait to move in with her in March so until that time comes I'll try my hardest to stay clean for her for the next three months

No one would honestly give a shit if I disappeared out of their lives. And the stuff that just makes it better is that when I get feelings for someone, which is rare, they end up liking someone else or my friend. I have to act like idc or that nothing bothers me or that I’m this big happy person, when I’m reality I’m the most depressed person you’ll ever meet
