Hey Maloney, you remember in the comments, people that were trying to tell us that the dimir demons deck was bad ? One of them even ended up getting banned. Well anyway now is the day where we can say, "is the deck bad? Is it really?" 😂 Bad enough to win a world championship? AHAHAAHAHAHA
In any variation of roots with soul cauldron, sandstorm salvager is a must have, if every plant has the ability to tap for 1 mana (or two if you feed the cauldron a mana tapper), and each plant can pay 2 to tap it self and give every other plant a +1 +1 counter and trample until end of turn, you can get some pretty disgusting turns. Especially if the manna tapper you feed to the cauldron is something like thornvault forager, who can tap for 2 mana if you forage, which is important because foraging your graveyard would summon more plants. All together, you would tap a plant, forage creating more plants, get 2 mana to spend by taping a second plant, all other plants get a +1 +1 counter and trample. I'm not currently using red right now because I don't own the cards, but adding enduring courage would give the new plants haste, meaning in theory you could forage your entire grave yard in one turn to end with a stupid number of plants with a ridiculous amount of power. The best part is that you could do it on your opponents turn since they are all active abilities, allowing you to dodge a board wipe by waiting until the opponent is tapped out, before summoning a army, only to attack on your turn before the opponent can react.
Also if every plant could tap for 2 mana, stocking the pantry would allow you to tap a plant, to draw a card. Since every new plant would put x(being the number of plants you control) +1 +1 counters on your plants, you would have exponential supply counters. This could also be done at the end of your opponents turn after they would chose to not attack, or perhaps even after declaring your blocks, meaning that stocking the pantry is like phyrexian arena, but it has scaling value and doesn't cost life. And of course splashing in enduring courage would let you convert your grave yard into draws, since you would be tapping your plant to forage, creating plants, and then getting mana to activate your pantry, which would draw a card, and since you now have more plants with haste you can do it again.
playing roots makes a lot of fun but is a bit slow in some match ups. but i love it that you can build it up with commons and uncommons and with each token you invest, the funnier it gets.
I don't think anything bout foundations, is too quick for me, still processing Duskmourne. I'm just getting more and more confused each expansion but is fine with me, I'll play anyways. Goog games tho, finally a kind of deck that you can do something about the 6 land in a row hahaha
The trajectory of the game is what it is at this point. Games are already decided by the top 10 cards in like 90% of games in this format and its boring, and they quite clearly have absolutely zero respect for your time or money or whether you actually enjoy the game. its all about turning every mtg addict into a proper pay pig.
By the way I went to moxfield and back in the comments to look at the date where I gave my Dimir Demons list I brewed and was trying to tell everyone it was way better than the Rakdos demons or golgari demons. And that was only one day after Duskmourn dropped on arena which was way before either Javier or Ha Pham were playtesting demons with annex and slasher etc according to Interviews at the testing houses. So I feel like maybe I should get a little credit or at least some of the winnings. Lol😂😂😂😂😂😊
Hey Maloney, have fun on your journeys! 😎🤘 Also, just wanted to make you aware..."cache" is pronounced "cash" in English and then the card's name is funny b/c it is a play on words, i.e. cash or money grab
The damn shuffler cheats. Either flooded out or your deck IS a desert. I've done a 30 land deck (several really) and had an unbelievable run of 2 land openers with very limited land draw. So yeah, I fully believe the damn shuffler cheats.
Whenever I'm changing cards in my decks, my theory is that the game prioritizes new changes over every other, like for example I'll remove copies of something down to 1, and all of a sudden it's now in every opening hand after two mulligans in every game. I've been trying to apply this to my lands, and so far it's been helping my sanity. After putting in my planned amount of lands I like to modify my deck by adding or removing lands between games depending on weather I'm flooding or starving. I've found that simply adding one (to 61 cards) or removing one (back to 60) seems to helps. I can't prove or disprove that this works, but I recommend you give it a try.

jesus christ that second to last game was such a trainwreck, no blue source against no combo pieces
Defiled Crypt is a new roots for a zombie body. You could run both.

They are pumping out these expansions faster than I'm comfortable with you're right about that.
