  • I hope y'all remember this bus in Ottawa in the 90s, it's the 1989-92 New Flyer D40! Ottawa-Carleton Regional Transit Commission 9001-9055 are New Flyer Industries D40 buses built in 1989 and were delivered between December 1989 and February 1990.
OC Transpo built another batch of New Flyer D40s, 9201-9227. They were built in 1992 and were delivered between June and July 1992. They featured padded Otaco vinyl seats, tip-in windows, Air Conditioning and originally had Pylon rollsigns. The Air Conditioning was disconnected as a cost savings measure in the mid-90s. 9201-9210 were retrofitted with a Balios Orange LED destination signs. 9211-9227 were retrofitted with Luminator Mega:MAX 3000 destination signs.
All had Pylon destination rollsigns originally. 9001-9025 were later retrofitted with Luminator Mega:MAX 3000 destination signs.
All of these buses are retired in 2010, may these buses RIP :'(
