Very charming, pleasant music. "On The Edge Of The Lake", my favourite of the three pieces, has an almost Celtic feel to it. Love the anticipatory start to "At The Dance".....
Ah, yes. Just as I thought. A musical suite commonly played on radio when I was small and not heard by me since then. If that makes me sound ancient, I don't care. The At the Dance is so graceful and yes, I've heard that one since, but not the others. Thank you for causing me to refresh my memory, Rodders, I needed this.
Pat, I have been collecting Cd's for many years. You will find all of the Coates Orchestral Suites here (as well as some other miniatures) : ruclips.net/p/PLHxzuXilW2AIiSCaI6Rt8SAZ8AV5QEFTs
Thank you, Rodders, for posting this delightful musical selection. I have enjoyed Eric Coates' charming music for decades.

Parts are similar to operetta music of the time, such as those by Victor Herbert.
I think his music is somewhat akin to Strauss and Strauss and Lehar
