Except that's not even remotely true. Couple meme coins on BTC doesn't mean anything. BTC is not scalable, doesn't support smart contracts, it is very much behind if it wants to challenge ETH on its own playground. If anything, BTC is proving that ETH made the right choice long time ago with its own development path.
@@dex4sure361 I agree ETH moves faster, and I’m ok with that. I’m not saying BTC will overtake it in terms of function. ETH is like a production level testing environment, which is very valuable 👍
Except it's absolutely untrue. ETH was built from the ground up for the use cases it has, in this case it's just degens trying to bring something on a network that was never meant to have such capabilities.

Hello! Thanks for your explanation. I have a question. Why isn’t Litecoin used for those things (tokens, stablecoins, etc.)? The fees are way cheaper than on Bitcoin and the security is comparable. Doesn’t it mean that there is no actual demand for those things and the rune mania will be a very short-lived bubble?
I’m pro inflating blocks and slowing the network to unusable levels.
I think vast lengths of meaningless code should be secretly added to each coin until they’re all polluted and useless 😂

No, Runes will not "bring more fees on BTC". At least it is far from being sure.
Compared to a "only-BRC-20" future, Runes will reduce the transaction fees on BTC, most transfer volumes will migrate on L2s (where BRC-20 transactions have to be on L1). Long term impact of Runes on transaction fees is far from clear, as fungible tokens use cases might massively migrate toward L2s.

Runes seem akin to writing or drawing on fiat dollar bills. Doesn't really impair the money but I'm not concerned it's illegal. Kind of ugly, and has some down side potential. Will they wash off in a mixer? Seems not if onchain. Not sure how ownership is retained.... I could watch again, but really not interested.
