Glad my sleep deprived brain just decided to throw two search terms together absentmindedly to find this compilation. I suffer as an NL and dota fan every day knowing he will never touch it again.
I think the trick might be to make losing not feel like complete ass. I don't like the idea of a surrender because part of the fun of MOBAs is the victory lap. You struggle, and then if you play well and things go your way you get to do a bit of curbstomping, as a treat. You don't want to build up to a winning momentum and then get blueballed by a surrender.
All I know about Dota is that way back when Apollo was going by a different name and he was playing terraria with Nick, Nick just kept going 'Its a Dota'.
