Yes you got it right. The protagonist of Whistleblower is Waylon Park. He's the guy who sent Miles the e-mail and caused the events of the main game. At first he was alone in the Asylum when shit was going down but when he got captured by Eddie Gluskin (The Groom) around 13 hours passed in which Miles events happened. Miles was with Father Martin when Waylon woke up and escaped from Gluskin and when Waylon saw the burning church Miles was already in the lab underneath the asylum where he fought the Walrider. Meaning that at first the Walrider was Billy Hope and then Miles. When Waylon was attacked by Blaire at the exit Miles saved Waylon by killing Blaire as the new Walrider. Why Miles was about to attack Waylon though is not explained. I assume he just didn't like his car stolen xD

The WALRIDER that came at the last moment and saved ya was Miles coz after disabling Billy's life support, the WALRIDER was free and when the mercenaries killed Miles, then Miles becomes the host and now the WALRIDER is Miles and that is why Miles (The new WALRIDER) saved ya from that guy to make ya escape from the Asylum and tell the story to the entire world.🤩🤩🤩 The fact that they interconnected the story of Waylon and Miles is just cinema. 👌👌👌👌
I like that you recorded most of the notes in the main game and the DLC. Most RUclipsrs and streamers who played this game missed out many of the game's events or they didn't have the camera raised when they had to.
Hi Sky. A bit late to comment this sorry. Had exams going on lol. Hope you and others reading this find this comment interesting. An explanation how the two stories of the main Outlast game and Whistleblower interlink with eachother, here a not so small but also not so big statement: Waylon Park (our software programmer) sent an email to Miles (our journalist) at the very beginning of this DLC. After Waylon was knocked out by guards and tied to the chair to watch the morphegenic engine screen, Miles received the email Waylon sent him. Walyon escaped from the tied chair and tried to find his way put of the asylum. That's when you see that the asylum is already out of control and the Walrider (a.k.a Billy) has already escaped from the underground science lab. When Waylon passes by the foggy courtyard and sees one of the the naked twins as well is close to getting to the radio room, that's the point when Miles arrives at the asylum. When Waylon came across Eddie Gluskin (the terrifying guy who tried to saw Waylon in half) and was gassed by him in that locker and got unconscious for 12 hours. After Waylon escapes and kills Eddie and is near to getting out of the asylum, a couple of things have already happened. Father Marton (the priest guy) burned himself on a cross as you can see the chapel in the distance was on fire. Richard Trager (the crazy doctor who cut off Miles fingers) was pulled off from the elevator after he got crushed by it. Chris Walker (the muscular guy who kept chasing Miles around and Walyon at one point) was already dead as he was killed by the Walrider. By the time Waylon reaches the exit where Jeremy Blaire (the guy who stabbed you) was lying down, Miles has already killed Billy and was shot by the soilders in the underground science facility (as you can hear through one of the soilder's walkie talkie calling for backup and paremadics). However it turns out Miles was alive and became the Walrider. It is because as we've read through all the documents, the Walrider repairs damage cells in the body and can only be controlled by a host who has experienced both physical and mental trauma (which Miles did suffer throughout his time in the asylum). Just as Jeremy was about to kill Waylon, Miles (as the Walrider) comes and kills Jeremy. Also when Waylon got in Mile's jeep and saw the Walrider, that was indeed Miles. He wasn't trying to kill Waylon, he pushed the jeep against the gates (as the gates were locked by the soldiers) so that Waylon could escape and expose the dark secrets of Murkoff with all the evidence in his camera and documents. *I hope this helps you and other who didn't understand how the stories interlinked with each other 😊*
Just to clarified, that Walrider was indeed Miles. Take in count that Mile´s playthrough he already found the place all messed up with all the personal of the facility killed and with no time skip. While in your playthrough with Park, you were witness of the massacre that Billy (the original Walrider) was doing in real time. And by the time that the guy who thought you were a woman and kidnapped you, there was a timeskip of 12 hours, awakening almost close at the end of Mile´s playthrough.

I was tripping out in the beginning when you where all like "press circle...". I was like cmon Sky it say square!! Then realized you were making a joke out of it. Gosh I am so slow at times lol.
If i had to guess, the patients successful were Chris Walker and a third I'm not sure of, so I'll call him "Patient C". Billy did succeed (obviously). However, they were only successful in being able to be able to percive the walrider. Billy Hope took it all the way. There's also, as is seen in the comics, the fact that Billy's "persona" is still in the Walrider nanites' "memories" (or the equivalent, whatever it be); as we see that Billy hope finds his mother and appears to her as a manifestation of himself (which are the nanites). You find out Billy's mother sold him. *SOLD* him. In exchange, he rips her limb from limb on discovery of this fact, much like Jeremy Blaire.
A fun thing I hadn’t realized until watching this is that me and Billy Hope share the same last night. (Maybe it’s just a southern last night, I don’t know)

This was great. Next play 'Still Wakes the Deep' a new game that was just released. Not this kind of horror game. But a different kind of scary game with feelingful story. :)
So in the beginning this takes place 2 hours before the main story begins but also clips into the main story. Waylon Park is the guy who sends Miles the email which is the guy you play as in the original story, as things hit the fan, is when the story clips into eachother, Waylon and Miles are there at the same time, that’s why you see doctor treager in the elevator, the church burning which was because of the priest and at the end you see Miles himself after the walrider has entered his body. I’m curious to know which of the villains are byfar your worst and favorites sky 😂😂
Nice playthrough! There were some instances and cameos from the first game that you saw but may have missed. Like Dr. Trager's dead body with the soldiers surrounding it "what kind of sick person would do this to somebody", Down the Drain -> Father Martin writing the words in blood on the wall.
Quite honestly, I think that Gluskin made such an impression on gamers is because it depicts men being violently victimized by another man. The gaming community, especially Outlast, is predominantly male, as is the character, and the visceral type of objectification, obsession and sexual violence which is usually directed at women was suddenly role-swapped and forced the player to feel that discomfort. It’s a brilliant piece of psychological horror.

he didnt try to kill him, he was going to destroy the asylum and push Waylon away from the destruction

The gaming community, especially Outlast, is predominantly male, as is the character, and the visceral type of objectification, obsession and sexual violence which is usually directed at women was suddenly role-swapped and forced the player to feel that discomfort. It’s a brilliant piece of psychological horror.
