He’s gonna have flashbacks at his retirement home and murk a bunch of octogenarians yelling “THESE RESIDENTS ARE EVIL” and when the nurse comes with his flu shot he’s gonna be all “I WILL NOT LET YOU INFECT ME WITH THE T VIRUS, YOU ARE MY NEMESIS! SOMEONE FIND ME A BOULDER AND A VOLCANO, THERE MUST BE A PUZZLE I CAN SOLVE TO ESCAPE” Then they give him a printed out maze and crayons
Hitler: oh hei Leon nice ov u to hjoin us (read this in a German accent otherwise the terrible spellings don’t work and I don’t know what Germans sound like)
It was a risky decision not putting Luigi in Luigi's Mansion 9, but I think it paid off in the end. Good job, Kojima. You subverted my expectations once again.
@verandream6675they aren’t lying when they say Leon can parry everything lol. Cars, rocket launcher missles, even the final boss fight I just stood still parrying and shooting the big Orange blobs. Leon is just too powerful
@MoonMan757 I played three runs and I always positioned myself so that there would be no cars between me and Mr. X to avoid him launching them, knowing this would have helped me so much
he's not wrong about the lamp... the way her eyes adjust to the brightness, darkening the surroundings at the edges of the screen, is very immersive. nice frosted glass too
@warpworshiper what you're talking about is just a byproduct of ray tracing, which isn't instant. It makes lights turning off have this weird fads effect. Always looks awful
it's better this way so you don't miss how hilarious the zombies handle the chainsaw, stumbling around, destroying the environment and getting the thing stuck in walls. I was laughing so hard during that part, I loved it.
Yeah i think in last year so he's made 3 or 4 "slickness of " videos where he talks various small details which he loves about the game , so basically it's kind of a lite dunkview
Rhodes Hill has the best zombies in the whole series. The Leon sections feel like a natural evolution of RE4 and RE2Make, but Rhodes Hill's personality-driven zombies are something special.
I really hope they bring that idea back into their re1 and code Veronica remakes, that could be a cool way to make those feel distinct from the original
I love the early stealth bits where you have to abuse the various obsessions of each one to control their positioning and line-of-sight. It made sneaking around feel like a puzzle you had to solve rather than just tedious padding
@unchpunchem8947 Didn't even think of that until now but I completely agree, taking some lessons from Requiem to make a new RE1 remake unique from its predecessor (which I argue already perfected that specific formula) and of course just give the game some more personality.
@ronquiajSame! I don’t dislike the new style (apart from the Best of ‘25 being too much of a departure), but it was cool to see he can still put out stuff in the style of an era I have such fondness for!
The zombies falling to the floor and letting the chainsaw drag them was amazing. I just let them mess around for a bit to see what kind of funny shit they'd do.
I just got to the ending in my game and same time as credits roll I got notification of new Dunkey Resident Evil Requiem video. What a timing! Excellent game.
I spent a while just wandering around in the rain at the beginning admiring the graphics. It was very relaxing before the horror started. Such a good game.
I legit started looking up lamps in this style. I had also just spent a week going around Vienna, aka the birthplace of Art Deco, and walking through the care center almost broke immersion cause my brain was still in museum mode. Straight up "oooh those are some nice tiles. Lovely wood panelling. How nice."
3:28 I need to take a moment here. The music being played in the background here is the tutorial theme from Pokémon Battle Revolution. Not only is this an incredibly niche and obscure piece of music, it also happens to be my phone's alarm music. Dunkey, have you been spying on me again?
When I booted up RE9 for the first time today I was in awe of how amazing it looked. I was taking in the environments and thinking, "Man... the slickness of this game. Wonder when Dunkey's gonna do that." Lo and behold... *He had.*
Dunko can you do a video on the slickness of carpeted bathrooms next? You keep teasing your love for carpeted bathrooms in every video but you never deliver.
Crazy to think that of all the franchises, the one formerly known for being a B-movie hamfest filled with cliches is the one that is reliably putting out bangers into the modern era.
I wish Dunkey would play Marathon. I like OG Apple Macintosh Marathon the way Dunkey liked Shenmue, but Marathon actually had an amazing trilogy instead of turning into Sonic 2006 like Shenmue did. Bungie isn't even Microsoft any more but it also isn't Animal Crossing with Pokemon in it so Dunkey might be too dad to play Marathon.
One more game and Leon Will finally be old enough for Bingo
That’s where everyone’s going right?
@MrSpartan993 wait, where’s everyone going???
@Puppy_Puppingtonto bingo you silly goose
or GOLF
He’s gonna have flashbacks at his retirement home and murk a bunch of octogenarians yelling “THESE RESIDENTS ARE EVIL” and when the nurse comes with his flu shot he’s gonna be all “I WILL NOT LET YOU INFECT ME WITH THE T VIRUS, YOU ARE MY NEMESIS! SOMEONE FIND ME A BOULDER AND A VOLCANO, THERE MUST BE A PUZZLE I CAN SOLVE TO ESCAPE”
Then they give him a printed out maze and crayons
“I sure hope that the residents here aren’t evil.”
- Leon
Little did he know, he would soon meet 9 evil residents.
@GeeGe. * ominous piano music plays *
The Residents out there may be Evil
But there's an Evil Within, too
But suddenly Leon gets caught in a Fatal Frame, too.
Hitler: oh hei Leon nice ov u to hjoin us (read this in a German accent otherwise the terrible spellings don’t work and I don’t know what Germans sound like)
When the crank showed up in Requiem I knew it was a true Resident Evil game.
I was literally waiting for the crank lol
and the fuses, don't forget the fuses.
It's cranking time
no bolt cutters though :(
@outlawruby Aye man, we got wire cutters lol.
The lamp is at 5:35 if anyone wanted to look at it some more
Thank you. What a beautiful lamp. Nice glass
Disappointed that he didn't show the lamp jumpscare
Why is Grace moaning at the lamp so much
Was that lamp made in China? Gawdam!
@WhatIsTheHeatshe just really loves lamp
You know he likes a game when he talks about the slickness
Definitely a slick type of game, arguably the first of its kind
Dawg that's crazy. I literally wrote the same comment 😭
So much slick being produced!
@Mediabroe405 trying to get away with copying bro's comment? nice try
@rebelfriend1818 Damn you got me 😔
We just had the same thoughts tho lol.
It was a risky decision not putting Luigi in Luigi's Mansion 9, but I think it paid off in the end.
Good job, Kojima. You subverted my expectations once again.
Bravo Vince
Slickness = Good
Glitchness = Bad
Sickness = Down With
Down With 360 Chainsaw
ow wa ah ah ah

UUUU-AGH-AGH-AGH-AGH!!! Achiooooo!!! Blesss youuuu ^_^!!!!
"Woke up dis mooornin, got myself a gun--capable of blowing holes in the space time continuum."
-Leon Kennedy, Resident Evil Requiem
Leon at the end of RE9: "Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!"
woke up this morning, got some gabagool, mama told ya, get that gabagool
Nobody's got T-virus! I don't wanna hear that word in here again!
Leon definitely has the makings of a varsity athlete
Hahahahhaa that’s so fucking absurd I’m crying
I really liked Leon's new found ability of parrying anything, even cars.
YOU CAN PARRY THE CARS?!?!?
@verandream6675 If Chris can fight a boulder and win, then it's only fair that leon can parry cars.
X to avoid him launching them, knowing this would have helped me so much
Leon can parry rockets too!
"Back in the heyday when we used to eat hay every meal"
This guy...
Well he is a donkey afterall
@Kkhrys_exp23I thought he was Puerto Rican.
I was so upset he didn't say hay every day
@duckywinkspaso fino
"17 black"
"LET IT RIDE!!!"
ĻĚŤ ÍŤ ŔÎĎË
LET IT RIIIIIIIDE
@shadow_hive ROY, VEGAS IS EDGING, PHUCK VEGAS
Heh
"FIRE WIND EARTH MOON?"
"GREEN"
he's not wrong about the lamp... the way her eyes adjust to the brightness, darkening the surroundings at the edges of the screen, is very immersive. nice frosted glass too
Much better than Marathon, all blocky, i would rather just go to Gex's Minecraft Millionaire house
i thought the same but focused on the slow fade of light found in older incandescent bulbs. I imagine most gen z and a have never seen one in person.
@warpworshiper what you're talking about is just a byproduct of ray tracing, which isn't instant. It makes lights turning off have this weird fads effect. Always looks awful
OMG it even has a watermark
Made me wonder about ray tracing
"This reminds me of bingo night at Saddler's evil residence."
- Leon Gex Kennedy
Bingo? What for?
Not funny
Leon Gex Kommedy
Note to self, do not drink the tap water at the Birkin's house
HAHHAhahhaha
*"But there is "Evil Within Too""*
“This games going down in history.”
- Leon “Soprano” Kennedy
Leon Kennedy is a hero in this house, end of story!
made funnier since Leon is Italian-American
@jaredmclaren5571 Krauser never had the makings of a varsity athlete.
Robbie "Leon 'Soprano' Kennedy" Rotten
i'm supposed to be impressed just because the man's name is leon kennedy? the whole rcpd named their kids that after the guy got killed!
I like the zombie that bites a chunk of your shoulder out and then says "I'm sorry" nice to see a polite resident for once
resident misguided
Resident misunderstood :(
The chainsaw, spinning and hurting you, and then perfectly settling for the other zombie to pick it up was such ragebait
Did you notice that when the zombies pick up the chainsaw they always lose an arm?
@Nethroh shoot, you’re right
This is what happens like every time.
@Nethrtalk about the evil dead amiright folks
it's better this way so you don't miss how hilarious the zombies handle the chainsaw, stumbling around, destroying the environment and getting the thing stuck in walls. I was laughing so hard during that part, I loved it.
Best part is if you have classic sounds on when in the main menu, the narrator goes “RESIDENT EVIL” when starting the game
he's dunkeying it
Dunkey be dunkin
I’m dunking it oh yeah I’m dunking it. Ahhh, so good
Yeah i think in last year so he's made 3 or 4 "slickness of " videos where he talks various small details which he loves about the game , so basically it's kind of a lite dunkview
certified good game
He’s starting to dunk in it
The slickness of the floor as Grace constantly slips and falls while running away
Yea I was watching a friend play for just a short time, I was like WTF why does she run like a 90 year old grandma and fall down a lot?
Played in first person for her initial run and second playthrough for trophies I did third and was like what the hell lady
@douglasduda9826 Because she is an unarmed and scared person being chased around by a creature that bit of the head of a corpse 30 seconds before.
The most evil opening scene
The most resident opening scene
@SztywnyPatyk The most biohazard opening scene
@swampert564 The most File #2 opening scene
@Irisverse the most revelations opening scene
2:37 thought i was having built in ads in my funky vid
I thought I was going through the glitch again where the yellow bar didn't show up for the adverts
This video fills me with feelings of love and hugs and caring and respect and makes me want to be nice to other people
I called my ex and apologized to my little evil resident for her thinking she was so slick
This video inspired me to throw car batteries into the ocean.
They shouldn’t talk
@unchpunchem8947 Didn't even think of that until now but I completely agree, taking some lessons from Requiem to make a new RE1 remake unique from its predecessor (which I argue already perfected that specific formula) and of course just give the game some more personality.
The Wrenwood Hotel has been known for its slickness since 1928, just a lovely place
6:10 The horse was so slick I thought it was gunna come alive.
they’re slick for that
Leon being infected with the slick-virus was a bold choice by Capcom
Yeah I thought the horse was gonna come alive too 😂😂😂
Don’t listen to these guys trolling that horse is the president of umbrella corp
the horse would only come alive on the hay day to eat hay every meal
For some reason going in I didn't expect Dunkey to be quite so unhinged in this video. The words he says are just particularly insane but it's great!
This one feels like a late 20teens dunkey classic.
It’s crazy to think that was about a decade ago.
Was thinking the same thing, loved it
@ronquiajSame! I don’t dislike the new style (apart from the Best of ‘25 being too much of a departure), but it was cool to see he can still put out stuff in the style of an era I have such fondness for!
2016 is firmly mid 2010s
How dare you remind me that I have been watching a donkey review games for over a decade
The zombies falling to the floor and letting the chainsaw drag them was amazing. I just let them mess around for a bit to see what kind of funny shit they'd do.
I'm so glad they finally decided to remake Resident Evil: Requiem: Gun Survivor 0: File #2: Deadly Silence: The Umbrella Chronicles 3D
...Turbo
@KrelianV4440 ...Zero
@menggol& knuckles
now we need the marathon video
Great game
MARTON
4:14 baseball huh?
That tracks
Al jokes crossover
36 purple baseballs in a chair? That’s huh.
Was looking for this
No reference to “doggy food is good” in this one though.
It was very interesting idea to give Leon the ability to eat spaghetti while fighting zombies.
you forgot the meatballs
@tyranttype1984they are the meatballs
Almost shit myself at 5:57. That's too scary man
I thought I was the only one 😭😭
Really makes you feel like a slick evil resident
Shut up, you are not funny
@Izghawa who messed with your evil resident
I just got to the ending in my game and same time as credits roll I got notification of new Dunkey Resident Evil Requiem video. What a timing! Excellent game.
I spent a while just wandering around in the rain at the beginning admiring the graphics. It was very relaxing before the horror started. Such a good game.
Capcom has been on fire lately
Looks like Dunkey's Mom & Leah finally gave him permission to play scary games again. I was worried this video would never come.
Something about Dunkey and Resident Evil just makes me feel so warm
3:16 this guy doesn’t get a jack black endorsement for nothing oh my god 😭😭😭
Leon: You've broken my trust, you betrayed me!
Chainsaw: Brrrrrrrrr!
When dunkey talks about slickness you know he’s loving the game
Im getting a vasectomy on Wednesday
how did it go?
stop the tension man, did it go well or nah?
@ma_buenoyeah it was great. Only one cavity so I had to get a filling
@canniballock nice, great to hear!
Leon Slick Kennedy, reporting for duty
The first Slick like game, hats off again Kojima
Deimarchive 7:34
0:43 gamefuel sighting
they managed to get the best of both worlds, crank type gameplay combined with the chainsaw mechanics, truly a marvelous game
7:51 What do you mean press RT? She ain't surviving that, bro
A single tear of joy was shed by whoever spent hours designing that lamp.
You know it's a good game when Dunkey rolls out the "Slickness" tag.
Brings a tear to my eye seeing Dr. Dew 0:41 get his flowers
I'm glad you were able to be reunited with your best friend the crank.
The Watch Dogs part took me out 💀🤣
Mountain Dew is an escaped Umbrella Corp product confirmed
💯 horse scared me through that whole level. More than the monster!
Resident evil: The slickening
The hill I will die on: That ending song for OG Resident Evil 2 Scenario B is an absolute banger
Down with the slickness
The first RE where there's no bolt cutters. revolutionary
6:05 so i guess i wasn't the only one spooked about the horse LOL
The one time Dunkey doesn’t bring up the fabric in a horror game is the one game that actually does the fancy interaction. I love it.
The Unslickness of Marathon
6:05 I was so scared of that statue at first 😂 I thought for sure something was gonna happen with it. Glad I wasn't the only one
when i first saw that horse down the hallway, i was 100 % sure it was a person that would start moving as soon as i went further into the hallway
That horse had me creeping forward slowly, afraid of the consequences
They made it feel scary and ominous to hide it actually being one of the safer locations during that section. That's how you know they did it right
When I booted up RE9 for the first time today I was in awe of how amazing it looked. I was taking in the environments and thinking, "Man... the slickness of this game. Wonder when Dunkey's gonna do that." Lo and behold...
*He had.*
This game makes you feel like a hangover at Spencer's Mansion
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA

Deimarchive reference detected
LMAO i thought I got an ad for that part
This is the first requiem type video game
"Morgan Freeman, John Doe holds the upper hand. We gotta get John Doe outta here"
John Doe that's haywire - dwarven king from warcraft
im so glad i wasnt the only one who thought that the horse was gonna come alive
6:45 RE chainsaw enemy with souls-like enemy attack pattern
it reminds me of the second phase of the big monke in sekiro
The way he says "For only $200" is killing me.
That opening was real slick
When your AAA game doesn't get dunked on by dunkey, you know you've made something special.
maybe the best non-marathon game ive played so far this year
Dunko can you do a video on the slickness of carpeted bathrooms next? You keep teasing your love for carpeted bathrooms in every video but you never deliver.
This resident is so evil
we should all be thankful we didnt just get 10 minutes of that lamp
5:58 dunkey was slick for that.
WTF?
Oh, its Hob!
7:19
I see what dunkey did there. ~
Truth be told, when 2:35 came around, I thought I was watching another mandatory RUclips ad-break XD
man i clicked on your timestamp and got a crypto ad
7:34 nice diemarchive reference
Dunkey doesn't like Marathon? Damn, I didn't know he was a devoted D2 player.
I have indeed played this game instead of marathon. Thanks mr donkey
5:36 um why does interacting with the lamp get her off?
Cus it's that slick
That's interesting
LMFAO
W Dr Dew! 0:40
I give this game my highest compliment of I bought it for full price and damn it was worth it
Crazy to think that of all the franchises, the one formerly known for being a B-movie hamfest filled with cliches is the one that is reliably putting out bangers into the modern era.
If only Dunkey would review hotels like he does in this video, I’d take his word for it. Maybe he can come up with a app called Slickness
It’s the first Requiem like horror game of its kind, they’re very slick for that
The first Requiem-type game, if you would (I wouldn't)
The slickest thing would be to add PSVR2 support to RE 9 Requiem!
"Slickness" + "more dunkey" = losing to Super Mario Bros 2
