Howard Stern: I can’t believe you don’t have a bf.
Aurora: I like collecting dead moths
What an absolute legend for that response alone
Actual answers Aurora has given to questions in past interviews.......
"I can't believe you don't have a boyfriend. Are you working on that?" ... *"I collect moths. Dead ones."*
"So the song is about relationships?" ... *"It's never just about relationships. Because that's **_so_** boring..."*
talking about Exist for Love: "So are you in love then?" ... *"Yes! I'm in love with many things, and many people, I have so much love to share with so many things."*
I adore how kinda blase she is about traditional romantic relationships lol.
She's _such_ a free-spirited introvert when it comes to love. From all the interviews I've seen/heard(basically all of them) I get the distinct sense she is very much a practitioner of "free love."
Not a lot of people can pull that off successfully. So often jealousy or resentment or possessiveness can ruin that approach. But it seems Aurora is quite capable of pulling it off.
She may have been in a committed relationship or two....but I surmise she's more into very open and free and unbounded romantic and sexual relationships. She's just FAR too much of an independent free spirit _and_ introvert to upend her entire life to focus it on an exclusive monogamous pair bond.
Again, I don't think most people can make that work in the long run.
But Aurora seems perfectly suited for it.
And I just love how she's SO CONSUMED by love itself....as a concept, feeling, emotion, and antidote to suffering. Healing through love is kind of her mission statement. And yet....when it comes to actual human contact, she can't be bothered with the rigamoral and drama of human romantic relationships. Or the gender expectations of society either.
It's yet another reason I love her and respect her so much.
She's different from most people....but it's not remotely forced. She's just very very true to who she is.
This is what I'm getting from her to, she's a real life forest fairy
Howard & aurora bonding over dead bugs was unexpected and very cute
howard stern interviewing aurora-who'd have imagined? She's brilliant always.
AUR🌙RA you're absolutely amazing ❤️ remember that every single day and night dear heart 💐
Haha, great upload! Thank you very much!
She had me at moth cannon. 🥰
Her voice 😭
Love every and each Aurora interview. She's so fun 😆 and wise! 💛
She's so cute in glasses
So cool and funny interview. It made my day (ok night currently) and I laughed during it (in a positive way) especially during middle one. Thx for sharing:).
we r never alone ;)
I love how self assured she is....
It's funny listening to that little conversation at the end. Not sure _who_ she was talking to...?
But he seemed VERY smitten by her....like a nervous kid with a crush. Can't blame him.
But Aurora seemed to pick up on it, and sorta have fun with it, and then ends it all with that confident... _"Lovely."_ >_
That’s JD. 😂
A moth-canon in an AURORA concert… brilliant idea omg HAHAHAHA this is a fab convo
Young Aurora (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤
The real life Luna love good
I met her in London at some fashion party kindest rejection ever
Aurora blew me over with her position on hating (per se) is less consuming than overt kindness. Whether you agree or not, is beside the point. It’s an incredibly brave thing to say in a time when anything other than candytoothed kindness gets you sent to the dustbin.
yes you are missing out
Love the end with JD and his smoothness trying to hit on her after bringing up his girlfriend lol. JD is the best! And who is this Aurora?? She is amazing! Her voice is out of this world
She's basically one of the greatest human beings....ever? Ever.
Look into her more if you haven't already....
A great start is.....her song "Lucky" live @ Nidarosdomen, and "It Happened Quiet" live @ The Current.
Then check out "Aurora being Hilarious Out of Context" here on YT....for a sense of just how funny/cool she is.
God this makes Howard and Robyn sound so old.
JD and Aurora 😂
He hates everyone, which is nice
Lol
A saint is among us. And NO, it is not Howard!
What do you mean its not Howard?
@@ragnarkisten the saint
Sounds to me like these Americans don't really know what to make of her. They're awkward.
As an American myself.....yes, you're quite right. Americans, much to my chagrin, are constantly keeping up this professional yet lighthearted, easy-going and friendly but kinda shallow "all's good man!" facade. Start talking about anything real or honest or deep or nuanced....and Americans get weirded out and uncomfortable. Obviously this is a blanket statement....plenty of us _aren't_ like that. But....it is an element of our culture, and one I'm not too fond of. :P
And don't even get me started on our utter inability to pick up on irony or dry humor in general.
