The original title of this 1972 composition is "Dazhai Hong Hua Bian Di Kai"《大寨紅花遍地開》(The Red Flower of Dazhai Blossoms Everywhere), by the Chinese composer Xu Jingqing (許鏡清, b. Longkou, Yantai, Shandong, 1942).
