Saw “Whistle...” when it was on at the West End in London. Hard to believe Steinman only wrote the lyrics. His musical trademarks run all the way through this
i so love this version of "A Kiss Is A Terrible Thing To Waste", keep coming here again and again year after year ^_^. Guess I should download it to my PC in case it disappear someday from the web. Thank you so much for uploading it!!!
One major theatrical mis-step - not letting Prince continue to work on this production... Love the grittier sound of this production compared to the London cast recording

AGREED! Steinman wrote the verses to this and ALW wrote the chorus.
Thanks! It was a lot of fun to do! We loved "flying" on that motorcycle!
It was a GREAT production. I feel honored that I was able to get tickets to go see it. I was only a teenager, but it's a memory I will always keep.
Wow, I never knew this existed. Such good memories. Thank you for posting it!
My absolute pleasure. I love so much about the original production of Whistle including this wonderful number.
One of ALW's best songs. Steinman was a great collaborator.

Davis Gaines was the first phantom I saw when it came to San Francisco in the 90s
WOW!!!
Wow....do you have any more of these at the Washington DC(National Theater). I am the harmonica player.

IMO, his best performance was in Phantom
