I have come back to this video every time I help my daughter with a quilt. We don't sew frequently enough to fully remember the steps, but I was so close this time! Thank you for not deleting old content!
What😳😵 my aunt he taught me the most hardest way in comparison to this demonstration😢 Thank you for my heart is elated because I am creating 3 baby blankets and was not looking forward to all the pinning my aunt showed me. This is not to say my aunt cannot sew, but that we can only share what we know, so thank you again for sharing your experience. I will show my aunt now 👏🏽😊
I’ve seen several videos on making mitered corners, and this is by far the simplest way of doing it. Clear instructions, no needless chatter. Thank you. This video is in my saved area because I refer to it if it’s been a while and I need a refresher.
This video and instructions made it so simple, easy, and fast to do the corners! I've watched several videos and tried to read several instructions that only confused me. This one was perfect! Thanks!
I watched your video 5 times. I didn't understand the measurements. I finally gave up and just followed your instructions. It worked! It's my first time and I have checked fabric. I had so much trouble with other tutorials that seemed simple because of the pattern on the fabric. Your way it doesn't matter what the fabric looks like. Thank you so much 😊 I really appreciate your wonderful tutorial!
I just tried this method for making a bed scarf and it is by far the best easiest and professional method I've used. Thanks so much for making this video.
Thanks! This is the best tutorial I have found on RUclips! This technique is perfect for the corners of the chefs' aprons I make too! I am so glad tablecloths, aprons and napkins are back "in" these days. I just got a new kitchen table and all my better tablecloths are too big now--I really needed this quick, easy and perfect technique. Maybe I will make some napkins or chip/bread basket liners from the excess fabric too! Oh... and this also works for making scarfs (even with silk and, of course, the right needle)--soooo many uses! Thanks again.
I tried it once and my corners were all over the place. Tried your method today and the results were appalling, did them perfectly in one try!! Thank you so much for this video!!
Where has this been all my life? As others have said!!! Hands down best mitered corner tutorial on the web. I've tried many and the way I've executed them, the results are always a wee bit wonky. But this is perfect... Yes, perfect! I had to stop mid-project to say THANK YOU!
Thank you for your easy to understand tutorial on sewing mitred corners. I have just made some lovely Christmas napkins for my friend and they have perfect mitred corners 😀
Thank you for this very clear explanation of how to make mitered corners. I will definitely use this on the flannel baby blankets instead of the hidden mitered corner that many of these videos show. Yours is by far the best way to make a mitered corner that you can see and know that it is being sewn correctly. Thank you!
Perfect! Sewn closed gaps in mitered corners will get points in contests! The quilt judges at our state fair are from the University Home Economics Dept - they take big points off for gaps in corners as well as not using stitch in a ditch & not using an 1/8" ease to fold over bias tape to prevent stretching it causing wonky straight stitched lines & bulkiness ...
I just want to say that I keep coming back to this video year after year--such great clear instructions. I don't do this technique often enough to keep it memorized and I'm so glad I can keep finding your video to remind me again. Thanks so much for posting it!
What a great tutorial. I just dropped in here and decided to watch your video. NO REGRETS. I was so amazed how easy it was to make these corners SO PERFECT and PROFESSIONALLY completed. Thanks for your super duper video. In other videos the corners are folded and leaves a bulky looking finsh. I subscribed. You are a genius.
Thanks For This Great Tutorial !!! It Is One Of The Easiest Ones I Have Seen and I Love It...Works Beautifully and You Explain It So WELL...Detailed And To The Point, Not A Lot Of Video That We Don't Need...I Am So Happy That I Found You, Thanks For Sharing Your Talent and Your Time With Us...
Great tutorial! Simple instructions, others make this so complicated! Yours was the third tutorial I tried, wish it would have been the first! Thank you.
Hi, just tried this tutorial after fumbling for about two hours to Sen a mitered edge on a place May. This method took exactly two minutes to measure and sew. Thank you so much. See comparison. Thank you so much. Could not send pics.
I ran across this post yesterday while I was whipping up some "burp cloths" for a friend who's having a baby. I have a quick shortcut that will save you all of that measuring and marking. Once you've ironed under 1/4 inch, just cut a cardboard triangle to use as a corner template. Fold the corners over the template, iron, and repeat for all corners. Stitch using the fold line as a guide. I made ten of these yesterday day in two hours, and I only measured once to get the triangle. If you iron your edges working from the corners in, you won't need to measure the hems either!
So easy - and I'm so glad it was explained in less than 2.5 minutes. I have bookmarked it until I thoroughly remember and so my daughter can reference as well. Thanks so much!
Hello ;) Just competed, successfully, my first tablecloth using your video and excellent explanations. So grateful to you. Thank you kindly for sharing your knowledge and taking the time to make a video. Have a nice day lady ;)
