- These are some tips and techniques that have helped me in understanding and drawing the head and neck from different angles. This head drawing tutorial shows quite a few different techniques that you can use to better understand the structure of the head, especially if you are a beginning artist. I tried to keep things as simple and step-by-step as possible so that you can start becoming more comfortable with the structure of the face, head, and neck quickly! I cover front, profile/side, and 3/4 views so you can understand what's happening 3-dimensionally.
