Curious what sans's ATK and DEF are here, I'd imagine it'd still be pretty hard for him to hurt papyrus here since it's pretty early in the route and KR shouldn't apply since Papyrus did nothing wrong. I'd imagine he'd have to kill Papyrus the same way he killed Toriel
What im assuming is that sans lost the ability to use Karma, as he is no longer associated with the sould trait of justice, and just deals normal damage. If I were to guess, Sans stats would increase by the same amount it would if it were the human, albeit started off at 1HP, 1ATK and 1DEF. Plus 5ATK from tough gloves.

We decided to take it in a different direction with a song that reflected Sans' hesitance rather than his sadness specifically. Sans is a very apathetic character, so even then he wouldn't just be "ALL JUST A GAME" or whatever, he's sad he has to do this but his mind is set on a mission.
Honestly one thing I've thought of fir an interesting dustale variant is one where a Glitch in Reality heavily misleads sans into the path he takes in dustlale with Frisk having to somehow get sans away from his Dark path (Frisk in said AU would be trying to get the perfect Pacifist ending where everyone is happy occuring after a True reset where the Glitch occur)
Dead Sea has the reversed megalovania which is Starting point of Error indeed. But this one is Megalovania/The Murder's first notes (they both are remotely the same). Dusttrust's Homicidal Lunacy I & V had this melody too.
