Keep in mind dolls of this type were a popular craft trend in the early 80s just prior to Cabbage Patch dolls. Crafters sewed the body / head from a pattern, then soft sculpted the doll with needle & thread. Each doll was unique. Some would have hair of various types, some would be bald. My mom wanted to make one so bad. She sewed up the body but couldn't get anywhere sculpting it. I gave it a try & found it fairly easy to do. (at least for me lol ) This type of doll is my first experience making a doll. I don't know if manufactured versions were ever a thing or not.
He is adorable. My cousin has a girl doll similar to him. When the cabbage patch dolls became popular it also became popular sewing cloth dolls. If I get a chance I have to call her and ask if there was a pattern. I think she said it was made from a sewing pattern.❤❤❤❤❤

She has dolls like this in the beginning of her videos maybe she gave this one up or sold it for something else she wanted she lives in canada 🇨🇦. My husband at one time wanted to moves us their before. But not anymore. But youre new doll is cute.
My niece had a girl doll like this and one of my friends has one too. I think she told me her aunt made hers. Hope your daughter gets to feeling better real soon ❤
