I love that you use what’s available, and make something useful out of unexpected materials. I would recommend that your darling kids wear shoes when out in the farm, and especially when playing with the chicks.
I've been watching your channel for a little while, and yesterday, my husband came in during the painting of the mobile home video, and we ended up BINGE watching all of your videos from the mobile home remodel! We enjoyed them very much and we both love how you don't hide the "Oops" moments and how you explain what and why you are doing it the way you do! We are also very frugal and really like the fact that you reuse and recycle materials when you have a chance. I'm really looking forward to seeing what the next property will be like and the work you'll do in the future!
Ohoooo I love you guys so much...I'm 66 yr's young ….I remember when we did all of the work you guys do ...I love all of you and your little family,....blessings to all of you.
When I replaced the wood trim around my windows on the inside I used old barn wood. Took a lot of sanding an staining but end result was out standing. You 2 work so hard but what you create is wonderful.
Your choices for the window trim was awesome. You're so right that the size suits the trailer, and the color. It all works. You're both such hard workers. Just in the short time I've been watching, it's gone from a fixer upper to ready to sell. Congrats, guys. Good work. Love the baby trying to have a sit down with the chicken and sister trying to help. What else could you want.
OK, I am a new subscriber, and I love your family. I enjoy seeing all your projects. The windows look great. But, I cannot lie, my favorite part of this videos was watching those beautiful kids with the chickens. So sweet! God Bless you all. Best regards from Kansas. :)
Resourceful use of materials and l like the finish; the brown does work for that space. I just hope it's new owners appreciates the time and energy you are putting into it for their comfort. I enjoyed some of your metal detector Monday video's yesterday. It all looked strangely satisfing! Hope you're all having a great day. 🤗
That turned out nice. I did the same thing with my last trailer. One thing I did that yall might like, was I went to lowes and got the cheapest blinds they had. I messured the inside of the window seal and got the ones that would fit perfectly. On some I had to get a little bet bigger and then trim them down. Then I would set them about 3/4 open on down site. Then I put the storm windows on the inside of the home. That way my babys and the dog could not tare them up. And it helped during the winter. But that's what I did.
Speaking from experience.....if you put two coats of primer and two coats of a lite paint you can get that money back plus. People hate those brown paneled walls but for some reason are afraid to paint it. Brown paneled walls look so depressing but when it's lightened up it lightens up the mood. I think what you two are doing is great!
Thats great too! For resale purposes you can get more cash in pocket if painted. I love what you two are doing and how your telling people to not be afraid and go for it!
If you guys were going to be staying in this home, then sure, make it suit to your individual taste. But to get the most interest from buyers, the aesthetic needs to appeal to as broad a range as possible. (Light, bright.)
Another fantastic job. Your attention to detail makes it all work. I would never have thought that you could get away with using plywood, but your windows look great.
I once purchased an old farmstead and spent nearly $30,000.00 renovating a 100 year old barn. When the time came to sell and the realtor told me my "expected" listing price, there was almost no influence with the barn. Realtor explained that even though the barn was an incredibly beautiful and functional building, the majority of a properties value is in the home and land it is built on. I hope your region of real estate affords the two of you a good return on your barn and home...you two are a good team.
With your tips and tricks, I can tell you have done these things many times. It's great to know how to do things without having to figure out everything. God Bless and God Speed with getting your new place.
I actually like the paint on the trim...looks nice. I know you must be weary of all the work, but it will pay you greatly when you sell! Little Maverick sure is a cutie pie!!
Plugging away! I've stripped painted trim and doors in 2 houses now. I also have a abhorrence to painted wood. It's a chore to do, but the end results are so worth in. Blessings ~
I really like your channel! The way you work together, too, is so nice. You two remind me of ‘sport casters’. Doug, you ‘call the plays’ & describe what’s going on in the ‘game’?, & Ash is the ‘stats & numbers’ person, giving background & more detailed info. (I did radio news for over 15 yrs.). Keep up the good job!!! 👏😁!
you can use half water and half paint and put on with a cloth, colors the wood but shows the grain and goes on real quick. Just a thought for future projects, very cost effective.
You both do such nice work! Be careful about keeping the trailer "vintage" looking..........you will sell much faster if it's airy, light and appealing. You don't want anything to look dated, and prospective buyers feeling like they need to come in and paint right away!
Jeanna Walton agreed. I lived in an apartment that had 'that'wood paneling. It was very dated. I painted it a really nice light pastel green and it made the space so much more relaxing. It was very calming and because of the grooves in the paneling it gave it a very country feel. If you are scared of color, paint it a light grey. Brown/beige is also very dated and it doesn't match everything. Grey is neutral and hides wall issues much better than cream or white.
I just want them to be able to sell their home after so much work, and get it sold quickly :) There is a great deal of brown in the home already.........too much will make it dreary and dated. Thank you for commenting!
Looking good and making a lot of progress in a short time! Hoping you get it listed and sold soon so you can find your new home soon. Enjoying watching your journey. 😊
I think you did a good job on the windows and trim. If I were to walk in there and didn't know what you had done, I would simply assume it was always there and kept up. I wouldn't expect to see anything different.
Hi Doug and Ashley, i think the trims look great, the brown fits in with the brown groove in the paneling. The chickens are really growing fast. So cute, Maverick wanting to sit on the chair with the chickens. I just realised you have 18k subscribers and over 4500 views for this video, that's awesome.
Hi :D Yea I was worried about the trim but in the end it turned out fine. We have had a nice boost recently from our mobile home videos and a lot of new subs are coming in. It's really exciting!
If you paint the walls in the trailer it will make a world of difference especially in selling it. It will look brighter and bigger and clean. Maybe even rent a air sprayer and spray every wall white. You’d be shocked at how brand new it would look.
The last scratching I heard in my gutter turned out to be a chipmunk. We were down in your part of the country yesterday. We met up with some friends at Auburn for lunch. Dave
My handyman is trimming out my kitchen window right now, using left over plywood from a previous project. I want a window sill and a shelf on top of the window! I have a 2006 16x80 MH. I don’t want to waste anything! Great video.. I might be able to do this myself!
Would purchasing bare land and building "from scratch" to suit both of your individual artistic building ideas be something you are considering? Totally making it your own. I am always glad to see your new video postings. You two are very inspiring- despite my being twice your age.
wow I lost touch with you all ! Great channel wow you are so much more comfortable on film,as a Mobile Home Homesteader I totally understand living in one and love it !
Well done doug good paint job from ashley second in command good finish on windows even maverick and bell had some chick fun but it's looking more awesome I had a great time watching this clip best wishes
We ripped plywood into 6" wide planks and made shiplap in our old farmhouse restoration. I've got a video on my channel of how it turned out. Love your channel!
Nice job. I have one suggestion to brighten up your hallway... paint the panel white. With the widow trim brown white walls will lighten up the hallway. I am new to your channel. You have done alot to get your home ready to sell. Hope it all works out.
Oooh I like that no primer trick! That really looks neat! I'm planning to do fakeout shiplap using thin plywood or underlayment, and now I'm going to do a section without primer first. I think it'll be cool.
Awsome detail, and so creative on how you solve things and use what is on hand. Also its great to see the kids enjoying the chicks and having a great day. I think it gies well with the look of the trailer and the hallway wont be dark because of the wall you guys made that lets in light. Also i cant wait for you guys to reach 20k! Keep growing and i will follow your journey. Have you guys thought of patreon? Or designing a shirt with the QITC logo? Maybe Bell can help design. Just a thought. Have a great day you two.
Thank you :) For now we are okay and content with what we have. If in some way we could offer more to our community we would consider Patreon. We so love and appreciate everyone who has given to us. It's great to see that there are good people out there!
Love watching your renovation. Your windows look so nice. We’ve done the same renovations you are doing to a rental trailer that was trashed by renters. We also live in a double wide that we bought new but have lived in for 40 years now, so we’ve redone about everything in it.
I was hoping you would of went with the Oops Green 🤣 brown was definitely the right choice you two 👍🏻 The look of Mav’s face when the chick hopped off his lap was priceless. 😆
You should build a bat house. They are great to have around. I helped my granddaughter build one a few years ago and we had bats in it almost instantly. We put it above the door of my barn.

I love that you use what’s available, and make something useful out of unexpected materials. I would recommend that your darling kids wear shoes when out in the farm, and especially when playing with the chicks.
Good job!
The trim looks great.
The chicks are doing so well, and so tame, too! Little Maverick was so cute wanting to sit with one.

Maverick was so gentle with the chicks, such a sweet boy and Belle teaching him to pet them, what a good big sister. Great job on the trim kids!👍💛
When I replaced the wood trim around my windows on the inside I used old barn wood. Took a lot of sanding an staining but end result was out standing. You 2 work so hard but what you create is wonderful.
I think the window trim looks perfect.
You have really increased the value of the place and it will pay off well for your new home. Good work to you both!
You two always do such a nice job. I think the trim looks amazing. Honestly I like the brown.
I think your window casing and trim look perfect! Great job! Love the footage of Belle and Maverick and the chicks. So adorable, the kids and chicks!
Very ikeable people. People you would like for neighbors and friends. love your chanel.

Great job guys. I love Maverick and the chickens, he is so sweet. I also love the trim drying rack (ladder).

Looks great! Can't wait for the "finished" complete walk thru!
Looks like someones “oops” worked out great for you. Love the color with the paneling.
I love the way the wood turned out. You guys have really improved that home 100%! Maverick with the chicks ! Too cute!

I disagree. They only need one buyer who gets what they are doing. And all the grey paint out there in home flipping land gets tiring!
That boy and the chicken...turned my crap night right around. Greatest thing I’ve seen all day. 💙
Great videos! Great family life! Keep it real!
Turned out great!Nice way to keep cost down. The Chickens are so tame and beautiful they are turning out to be pets.Lol!
The real life " Out in the Country " . Good family values.
Another fantastic job. Your attention to detail makes it all work. I would never have thought that you could get away with using plywood, but your windows look great.
you can mix paint and stain. i have on furniture grade wood, also in brown.. it works well

if you have never done this for a living i would be surprised. Both of you work well with each other Keep on Keeping ON
Another job well done guys! 👍🏾The window frames look great! 🤩❤👍🏾
The way you are able to put your ideas together and make them work is ingenious. And everything looks so nice.
I think the trim looks rather nice. It makes everything cohesive. The mobile home reminds me of a cool vintage air stream :-)
Awwwwe a boy and his chicken! And the window trim looks so good!
That was precious. They are precious little children that God gave you.
You really are the frugal king.
Plugging away!
I've stripped painted trim and doors in 2 houses now. I also have a abhorrence to painted wood. It's a chore to do, but the end results are so worth in.
Blessings ~
This family is so cute and reminds me of one I used too have .
Great job! Can’t wait to see when it’s completely finished. Your baby is adorable.🤗🙋🏽
What a wonderful family. ...where did you find the lovely, gracious, hardworking, Ashley. I thought they broke the mold in 1960.
I was just telling my self today how am i gonna replace this window trim on my trailer and now i know how. Thanks for the video.
I really like your channel! The way you work together, too, is so nice.

Using the step ladder for a drying rack. What a great idea
I think you did a good job on the windows and trim. If I were to walk in there and didn't know what you had done, I would simply assume it was always there and kept up. I wouldn't expect to see anything different.
Bell is so sweet. How cute.
Looks better than I expected, great work and using what you've got to save is always nice too. Take care, many hugs, much love and peace. Blessings

Love the little ones with the chicks
Hahaha... Maverick taking the chicken for a sit. lol so dang precious. Belle too. Such a great sister. The mibile home is looking great!
Great solution! What a difference that makes!
I think painting the the window side trim and the moulding the same color was a good choice.
The last scratching I heard in my gutter turned out to be a chipmunk. We were down in your part of the country yesterday. We met up with some friends at Auburn for lunch. Dave
Oh cool! I really wasn't expecting to find a bat, haha! We're so glad we kept all the trim the same color, makes it look way more sharp :D
Your kids are so friendly with each other. Great ideas on the trim!
My handyman is trimming out my kitchen window right now, using left over plywood from a previous project. I want a window sill and a shelf on top of the window! I have a 2006 16x80 MH. I don’t want to waste anything! Great video.. I might be able to do this myself!
Nice job, you guys are so nearly there. Keep up the good work💞
If its water based paint, you can water it down and it looks more like a stain/glaze. We are fixing up an old mobile home too, thank you for sharing!
OITC, you do beautiful work.
Woo Hoo the time is soon approaching !! Great job guys it all looks fantastic. Loved Maverick and Belle with the chicks..cute. xx
I am building a new home and am using good on side plywood and it looks great. Yours looks great also.
Thank you for your videos, they are AWESOME!
Would purchasing bare land and building "from scratch" to suit both of your individual artistic building ideas be something you are considering? Totally making it your own. I am always glad to see your new video postings. You two are very inspiring- despite my being twice your age.
The trim really did come out nice!!
Looking good!! Prayers for a nice return on all your hard work! Blessings to your sweet family!!
The trim looks fantastic!!!
Good luck on your sell. You've done an amazing job. Hope you find the property of your dreams
Thank you :)
I was sceptical about painting the trim. I was like please finish it. But it honestly looks way better then I expected. Great job!
That looks perfect! 👍👌
wow I lost touch with you all ! Great channel wow you are so much more comfortable on film,as a Mobile Home Homesteader I totally understand living in one and love it !
Looking good I'm sure you're hard work will pay off
Well done doug good paint job from ashley second in command good finish on windows even maverick and bell had some chick fun but it's looking more awesome I had a great time watching this clip best wishes
The trim looked really good , but your little guy stole the video with the chicken that was precious .
The color is very nice and on here it looks more gray then a brown. Nice work.
OH I had missed this one. Trim looks great. I admire your enthusiasm all the time .. Hugs across the oceans ,,,

they won't :) They like the paneling and will sell shortly anyways. The new owners can decide what they want to do with it further :)
Oooh I like that no primer trick! That really looks neat! I'm planning to do fakeout shiplap using thin plywood or underlayment, and now I'm going to do a section without primer first. I think it'll be cool.
Every thing is coming along very nicely. Janice
It turned out very nice! Again , a great job! 😊😊😊
You are doing such a wonderful job. The trip looks Great.
Love watching, but need more. lol
Awsome detail, and so creative on how you solve things and use what is on hand.
Also its great to see the kids enjoying the chicks and having a great day.

Awesome job you two!!
One can do a bazillion interesting things with plywood!
Maverick and the chicken, love it.
Just like eye make-up. It works.
I was hoping you would of went with the Oops Green 🤣 brown was definitely the right choice you two 👍🏻 The look of Mav’s face when the chick hopped off his lap was priceless. 😆
It all looks so awesome, I just water my paint down and make my own stain 🤷♀️ it works. Lol.
Job well done ❤️
Oh wow that’s such a great job , you are both so super sufficient Xxx
I love your mobile home its awesome
I adore your work can't wait to start our mobile home February 1st 2020
The windows look great and nice job you did
You should build a bat house. They are great to have around. I helped my granddaughter build one a few years ago and we had bats in it almost instantly. We put it above the door of my barn.
Someday we'd like to built some :) And keep the mosquitoes better under control!
Another awsome vlog.....Maverick with the chicks was looking so cute plus the windows are looking awsome.
Good work guys.
