Ooooh man, I remember being really confused on why the eyeshadow pot had a name tag on it with a kiss on it and thought at the time that it was somehow the wolf's name but ooooh man the foreshadowing...with eyeshadow come to think of it lol.
It was way too similar to Morticia Addams’ makeup scene where she used the ashes of her dead parents as makeup for me not to notice.😅 Plus, no one labels eye shadow or puts it in an urn like that.

Lovely details for foreshadowing. The urn of eyeshadow powder labeled 'Leo' just before she caresses his portrait, the duct tape and rope on the kitchen countertop, the spider lily on the side table beside the front door, and the still-empty pie crust at the end of the cooking montage.

i was already really loving the attention to detail in this but i adored the detail of the contrasting kinds of flowers that the sheep is given compared to the one she has herself in the next shot. While they both represent death, the contrasting connotation of both flowers really showed how much effort was in this. great animation !
Honestly thought she was the one in danger, until I noticed she’s got even more pictures on her walls than the wolf did. Her pulling out a saw as a cooking utensil just cemented it for me. 😂 Impressive work. 😊
Damn, you guys really went with the idea of "wolf in sheep's clothing" to an interestin direction!!! I honestly love how it was done. By showing the contrast between the wold and sheep's personalities trying to make it seem like the wolf was gonna kill the sheep. Especially with the hints of things like missing posters throughout the short. But then the ending... well damn, it subverted this all well. And then the animation and art direction just adds onto it!!! Overall, this is a really simple, but great short film!!!
Yeah same :-( Honestly glad that Wolf had it coming. Also vultures are known to attack or kill prey in an rea where death is near so that’s pretty cool!
Based on the expression of the vulture I had a thought that maybe he’s driven the missing people to the address so many times he had an idea of what’s going on but when the wolf props his feet against his neck he’s like ‘suddenly I don’t care if you end like the rest’
Details i noticed: 1. Wolf has a lot of pin-up girls on his walls, mostly sheep it would seem. 2. Sheep has polaroids of her and wolf on her vanity, this is likely their first date at her house. The wolf probably expects to score. 3. Sheep used Leo the lion's ashes as eyeshadow. 4. The photos of people in Sheep's hallway are later seen in missing persons posters. 5. The rope and tape next to meat pie ingredients. 6. End credits imply that Sheep kills and eats her guests. Before taking a "trophy" for her room. (Photo, skin, head, etc.)
This took a dark turn fast 😦 love all the backround details like the missing posters, Leo's ashes as eyeshadow, and even the fact that she drank the wolf's blood (i assume that's what she was drinking). Nice job!
My, oh my! A demure taking apart what appears to be a line of Bundy-Boys? Well, I'll be damned if this isn't some stellar work, both animation and storytelling-wise! ;D
Ooh that ash eyeshadow idea is nearly identical to the one Morticia had from the first animated Addams Family movie that was made years ago. Inspired perhaps?
The animation is absolutely magnificent, but I need to take a second to talk about the music. Skrim (the musician) did so well from a musical standpoint, his idea of melody is immaculate. I love it so much oml
I wouldn't be surprised if that robe she's wearing at the end is made out of wolf, to really show how she is seen as a innocent sheep, kind of like the opposite of a wolf in sheep's clothing, which she is.
Honestly this is one of the best animated short films I've seen. Everything from the animation, to the music, and the story itself was amazing (especially the ending because damn that was dark lmao). Kudos to everyone who worked on this, ya'll should be proud!
Predictable, yet enjoyable. I love it! The wolf was rude enough to have his death be justified. And no to mention the two missing posters are sheep girls showing that he’s probably killed the two and eaten them and targeted our protagonist next to be on his menu.(since he is a wolf) I could be wrong, but hey! Attention to detail is an icing on the cake!
I knew exactly what was going on when I saw the photos in the sheep's house and the meat lovers pie. Also can we talk about the cool fact that the recipes in the book are the credits and the people who made it. I just thing that is very cool
Watching this reminds me of the kind of animated shorts I watched as a kid, expecting them to be funny and ending up seeing a dark backstory or some subtle gore that definitely ended up traumatizing me.
this is a fantastic animation, rainbott!! as someone who has a group of oc's that kill people and put them in food like stew and meat pies, i *especially* adore this work of art!!!!! keep it up!!
Can I just say I absolutely adore the incredible backgrounds in this short, reminds me of the backgrounds in classic Tom & Jerry and renaissance era disney!
What a plot twist! I thought the sheep was going to bake the wola a meat lovers pie, and instead, he eats her, but I didn't expect her to bake him INTO a pie and that she is a MASS MURDERER.
This just gave me an idea for a short story, the wolf is immortal and gets off from being eaten and figured out that the sheep is a cannibal/predator, he plays along with the sheeps game until the point he gets drugged, he pretends to be knocked out and than while she is carving his chest he "wakes" asking her "So, whats your favourite organ?" Scaring the soul out off her cause at this point she has cut open his chest exposed his organs.
@@Knux5577 Yeah, something like that but less due to genetics and more due to being cursed. @PurplePastelBlue Nah, when your a fan of Hazbin Hotel and one of the characters is a Cannibal, it tends to create some interesting fanfictions. This leads to accusations flying when he is introduced to her about him trying to get pay back for her killing his family and for the curse, this just confuses the Wolf at first than leads to him thanking the Witch for killing his family confusing the witch and everyone ends up confused until they are both told to tell their stories.

That.. was a big twist- I loved it.. I'll Rate that pie 11/10..
Really put his heart into it
@@lancesmith8298 Now you've done it. Bravo
1:35 I LOVE THE RED SPIDER LILY SYMBOLISM!!! such a cool little detail, along with all the other things
I love that she has portraits of her victims all over her house.
Amazing art style, nice short animation
And heads too
@@nosiphiwegwintsa3032 Yeah, saw the deer head trophy once the sheep already applied her lipstick
2:48 well this just makes everything confusing.
i was already really loving the attention to detail in this but i adored the detail of the contrasting kinds of flowers that the sheep is given compared to the one she has herself in the next shot. While they both represent death, the contrasting connotation of both flowers really showed how much effort was in this. great animation !
0:21 bro leo on the thing. And a pic of a lion?! BRO SHE MADE HIM HER MAKEUP SETUP
Honestly thought she was the one in danger, until I noticed she’s got even more pictures on her walls than the wolf did. Her pulling out a saw as a cooking utensil just cemented it for me. 😂
Impressive work. 😊
1:54 I was not expecting that… 😟
Same ikr
Beginning: Aww it's cute!
End: What the...THAT PRETTY LAMB LADY IS A MURDERER!!!
よく見ると料理にされたレシピの写真、男女関係なく美味しく頂いてるみたいだから、みんな性別関係なくこの妖艶な羊さんの虜になっちゃったのかなぁとか考えちゃう😚
This was...not what I expected. The animation made me think it was gonna be a normal romantic encounter. That sheep is a literal maneater.
Miss, you have *criminally* undercooked that pie. That crust is gonna be so soggy.
It is gloriously good, yes.
1:13 anyone else feel bad for the taxi driver?
Me
Me bro
Yeah same :-( Honestly glad that Wolf had it coming. Also vultures are known to attack or kill prey in an rea where death is near so that’s pretty cool!
@@afrofaeries cool. Yet we never saw him flying over the house
Based on the expression of the vulture I had a thought that maybe he’s driven the missing people to the address so many times he had an idea of what’s going on but when the wolf props his feet against his neck he’s like ‘suddenly I don’t care if you end like the rest’
Details i noticed:
おにぎりやソバも作ってる食に対するあくなき探求心好き
This took a dark turn fast 😦 love all the backround details like the missing posters, Leo's ashes as eyeshadow, and even the fact that she drank the wolf's blood (i assume that's what she was drinking). Nice job!
My, oh my! A demure taking apart what appears to be a line of Bundy-Boys? Well, I'll be damned if this isn't some stellar work, both animation and storytelling-wise! ;D
Why r they raw? 2:16
Additional nutrients.
i like the contrasting colors. also the ashes as eyeshadow? whole new meaning to smokey eye
She's the definition of "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing"
truly the wait of history
indeed it is
The title and the Lamb swiping the portrait of Leo were big giveaways. Figured out the ending at that moment.
This ain't "Sheep in Wolf's clothing"
This is "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing"
I thought the normal saying is wolf in sheep's clothing
Ooh that ash eyeshadow idea is nearly identical to the one Morticia had from the first animated Addams Family movie that was made years ago. Inspired perhaps?
The animation is absolutely magnificent, but I need to take a second to talk about the music. Skrim (the musician) did so well from a musical standpoint, his idea of melody is immaculate. I love it so much oml
Thank you Rothby!!
2:26 HOW IS THE CUTE AXOLOTL THERE IF- IF THEY WERE JUST-
The writing said too fruity for my liking.
I think the axolotl was killed after the wolf’s death. I am assuming this is in chronological order of her kills.
@@barophobia3013 I mean how did all of them show up at the end /lh
0:32 Honestly, as soon as I saw the pictures with the lion including the transition, I Knew exactly where this short was going.
I wouldn't be surprised if that robe she's wearing at the end is made out of wolf, to really show how she is seen as a innocent sheep, kind of like the opposite of a wolf in sheep's clothing, which she is.
okay is no one gonna mention how creative the credits sequence is? Like you didn't have to go that far but you did! Freakin' awesome.
The credits as a recipe book was a genius idea
Honestly this is one of the best animated short films I've seen. Everything from the animation, to the music, and the story itself was amazing (especially the ending because damn that was dark lmao). Kudos to everyone who worked on this, ya'll should be proud!
I literally can't stop rewatching this. Looking for the little pieces in each scene. Beautifully done, completely caught me off guard. XD
This might be me stretching it but what if those two sheep girls were people she knew or her little sisters?
She has pictures of girls too in her house so she could totally have been responsible for their disappearence too
I wondered why she's making baking preparations with makeup on. It made more sense by the end.
Nice 😻😻😻
Can I just say I absolutely adore the incredible backgrounds in this short, reminds me of the backgrounds in classic Tom & Jerry and renaissance era disney!
This is why we love small indie animators
I had a feeling that's where this was going
HELPP I THOUGHT THIS WAS GONNA BE A WHOLESOME FORBIDDEN LOVE ANIMATION😭
2:21 it's fucking raw!
Good job on the animation, it's pretty sweet
So you mean he's like deadpool?
He just regrows limbs?
@@Knux5577 Yeah, something like that but less due to genetics and more due to being cursed.
His family did something horrible to a witch and she killed his family but he wasn't part of it being exiled and excommunicated for something and he was the only one she didn't get, she figured she would make him feel her pain by cursing him to live forever, not knowing he has no love for his family, from his perspective he just became immortal out of nowhere.
@PurplePastelBlue Nah, when your a fan of Hazbin Hotel and one of the characters is a Cannibal, it tends to create some interesting fanfictions.
And that leads to some interesting concepts and ideas related to Cannibalism, romance and comedy.
And to continue where I left off.
They end up dating and it turns out she is the Great-Granddaughter of the same witch, and she is still alive, due to some magic she uses to "suck" the youth from people.
This leads to accusations flying when he is introduced to her about him trying to get pay back for her killing his family and for the curse, this just confuses the Wolf at first than leads to him thanking the Witch for killing his family confusing the witch and everyone ends up confused until they are both told to tell their stories.
Gotta love how the sheep's shadow turns into a wolf. A wolf in sheep's clothing at it's finest! The foreshadowing throughout the film is amazing, too! ❤
THIS IS SO GOOD AND PRETTY AGGAHSBA!!!!!!! I LOVEE THE ANIMATION STYLE AND THE SHEEP IS SO BEAUTIFUL EVERY SINGLE CHARACTERS BODY LANGUAGE JUST SPEAKS SO WELL AGSHBS
Using the cannibalistic recipes as the credits is ADORBS!! ✨💕🙌🥩💛
That is quite the adorably beautiful sheep lady. The music and background images leading to the ending was brilliant.
That sheep is absolutely slaying those innocent people!
i knew it! wolf and sheep sawpin places
Love the lilies, considering they're most commonly used for funerals!
I always love a wolf in sheep's clothing idea, and this one was executed flawlessly! The character designs, the backgrounds, the sound design, and the reveal was all amazing! Also I love that a vulture/buzzard was the taxi driver, since they're really good at finding dead meat, having him deliver the wolf to the doorstep of a killer was such a great detail!
The details in that book is very twisted and the shadow transformation is honestly horrifying. Talk about a wolf in sheep's clothing. I loved this! Reminds me of Tales from the Crypt style episode. Keep up the great work!!!
THIS IS AMAZING!!! I haven't seen such a good short film Since the og Ramshackle animation and Timber (Vivzipop)
I love how the ending was foreshadowed with the missing lion's poster
Dude, i was shocked at hie many people she cooked...
But at least she's a ✨bi queen ✨
Oh my word, I thought they were killing together, not that it was just her!! what a twist!!!!!!
I love how the sheep lady has girls for victims as well, made my heart warm :)
You sound like a psychopath when you say it like that
