5 year later, I am watching this magnificent class again, over and over.
Hi from Brazil Aikido!
I practice martial arts and have always been sceptical about pressure points; this is the most persuading video I have ever seen on the art and it's mainly to do with how genuinely earnest and experienced this instructor is...it reminds me of Einstein's saying "those who know something well, explain it simply"
Thank you sir!
Excellent! Probably the clearest and simple demonstration I have come across.
You are a great teacher!
As a Martial Artist for over 44 years and a Nightclub Security Professional for over 20 years and Professional Bodyguard in Los Angeles for 6 years, I can assure you that these DO in fact work. It is an art which requires practice. Those who doubt may need to simply train harder instead of running off at the mouth so much.

You cannot rely on pain compliance because everyone has a different level of pain tolerance.
Why aren't you a UFC champion then?
Then, use something else.
Thank you very much Scott Rogers. Although your instruction are the best there is on the internet, I am a slow learner and I have to review you programs several times to get things in the right order. So keep it on youtube.
very rare to find someone not talking crap and having a "friend" over exaggerate the effects of these. Best video I have seen on the subject for sometime outside of master angelos.
Props to the guy who is taking all the punishment for our enlightenment.
Gavin VON MEYER he gets paid i would do the same thing for the ammount he is paid
And he is not being hurt
No punishment in the video mate.
Mr Rogers is a very skillful and professional teacher. His explanations couldn´t be more clear. and that reverse roundhouse kick of his is excuisite. Congratulations.
Finally someone who actually understands how to manipulate pressure points in Martial arts and can explain the whys and hows quite clearly to everyone. All respect to you Master Scott Rodgers!!
Not just another martial arts sheep who repeats the teachings of their master without having dared to ask why or how.
The real chalenge of martial arts is to adapt the fighting skills to suit you as an individual, just as you should adapt your other skills to benefit your situation.
Thank you Scott Rogers. I needed to know this because at sixty I would not be able to use power against a younger person.
Learn Brazilian jiu jitsu
wow dud, this is awesome. I fell a sleep at least 3 times in the first 21 minutes.
20 minutes in and my arm is killing me! Great video very informative!
This is the best video on pressure points and recovery techniques that I have ever viewed and I have been in the Martial Arts my entire life. Thank you
I agree with you, I do not think that applies in a street fight or against a trained fighter or less with a professional fighter. But I think that certain professionals like bouncers, security guards, police and other security and law enforcement professionals should study this in detail, because it is very good to control without having to destroy the body or anyone's face. This is a personal opinion, with a constructive purpose, not to bothering anyone.
This video is a real martial treasure, great luck it is available on youtube.
I've never practiced martial arts, but learned a few pressure points growing up, from fighting with my brothers and from my marine uncle.
The few I knew have been very valuable working at a drinking hole. Removing belligerent drunks would be a bitch without pressure points, especially when you're not allowed to strike them. I've seen people drunk enough to ignore a broken nose, but never pressure points.
Still, I had no idea there were so many. This video will make life even easier. Gracias!
groomedtodie You are correct . I started in 1988 and many pf these I have mastered example on the radial nerve, the ulner nerve and the from the waist area using the siactic nerve on the outside of the thigh and down to the ankle .Once your see the opening strike the nerve relative to the angle and the direction .This works it freezes the opponent and opens up other points to be hit takes years of practice with a good partner and master teachers like the late DR MOSES
Thank you for sharing Master Rodgers. I always had a interest in pressure points but I never did understand them well. Your explanations are clear and easy to understand. Thank you again for taking the time to share your knowledge.
i like your work man
I trained in Kyushodo with Mark Romain in London around thirty years ago. Very good video. Nothing else on youtube covering this. Excellent !!!!!!!!!!!
I'm liking the anatomical and physiological references in this video.
I love all the guys that watch MMA and UFC fights and think they know everything about martial arts.
This guy seems so nice, if I were in a traffic road rage incident with him I would not be intimidated, but in reality he would mess me up with a few rubs and slaps! Great video!
Love his knowledge of different styles -very versatile methods
I like his teachings. He speaks very clearly and very clear demonstration.
one of the best videos I have ever saw
I am a regular visitor to your channel and your video demonstrations have inspired me to re-educate my skills in pressure point training. Your video's are clear, easy to understand and help identify why and how the technique work's.
You took the words rite out of my mouth thanks and cheers
@kamikaziu the whole point of these pressure points is to add them into your move set. You wouldn't just fight someone with pressure points alone, you would have to set them up. Imagine how much better your fighting would be if you made your punches and kicks target those pressure point areas. They work well.
thank you. it really is difficult to find real martial artists nowadays, just with this conversation ive made it a personal accomplishment. thank you for talking with me sir.
as a martial artist this is very helpful for review and teaching. thanks very much.
Very nice, informative, well organized material and humbly presented. Thank you Master Rogers.

To the point; no ego, just great education. 😁
From what ive managed to learn is it can perforate the inner ear, so even if your opponent walks off if they dont get it seen to there finished. The legendary DIM MAK
Love it. Want to see more.

I agree about the teaching. Very clearly demonstrated. I learned a lot. Thank you!
thank you for this! this is one of the best corners of YT i've ever been :)
very instructive and very well explained. Thank you
Thank you sir. Great instruction.
Thanks Master Scott Roger for your sharing of your knowledge. I have watched another video where you teache revivals technique. First of all, one acts on self defense, but also is able to help ones opponent to regain control. It is sometimes good to know!
Great video!! Congratulations!!
I like the way you did this video. it shows you took your time and are very knowledgeable in the subject in which you are teaching. Many times you have a knowledgeable teacher but not very good at expressing themselves. you didnt make this video just to put out a video. you made it to teach others and for that I thank you.
Its good you depart our knowledge to others but if falls to the wrong hands, so many other martial arts around its not worth teaching them...
very well done ...Thanks
This guy is really technical.. Amazing video, esp. since he;s good at demonstration
Props and love to your assistant for putting up with all those. Pressure points friggin hurt haha
Awesome explanation. Thanks
Thanks for the video(s), it really betters my aikido/jiu-jitsu skills.
I have to go train now but later on i will watch the rest.
Respect.
thank you Scott that was very handy to know that poor chap must be some sore but you'll look after him I know in these times it's good to see an expert at work and explaining about recovery most important thanks again Scott all the best
Really very informative. Thanks!
you are SO right aboute that , ive never practiced MA but find it very
interesting when people with knowlegde show how it works like Scott does .
very informative video! thank you for sharing this knowledge
I enjoyed this video. I enjoyed your methodology and personality as a teacher. Not many can teach this subject as well as you do. Well done. I subscribed to watch your entire series. I am not taking sides as so many of you are doing. The one who walks away, wins!! Okay? As in all fighting systems and arts, you have to pick and choose what works for you. You will need more than pressure points. The only way you are ever going to know what works and what does not work for you is to fight. I know this leave a lot of people out because they are not and never will be a fighter. Everyone can learn to not be a victim. We all need to learn what it takes to not be a victim and if others try to make you a victim then learn various ways to get yourself out of a dangerous situation. Everyone needs to learn how to protect themselves and you can do this by watching, listening to many fight oriented RUclips videos. Get advice from many sources. Get a partner and practice. Take classes that pertain to you and to your ability.Think, awaken your awareness and common sense. Just my general oriented opinion.
Awesome!! I learned new moves
Excellent video and very well explained!! I this will be part of my JKD
It's crazy seeing all these comments from years ago and thinking people actually believed this works. Hopefully no-one ever used this in a self defense scenario and got hurt from the attacker
I think you mean YOU cant make it work. Fair enough but dont speak for every person in the world mate.
@the-toecutter burn, you got me real bad on that one😂😂
@@RaidenIzMe ok bud. Keep talking shite. Good luck with that👍
nice work. direct and well explained. do more please
This is awesome! I have studied martial arts and learned that any technique is valuable once you start to apply it and really study the human body dynamics to defeat or defend yourself in situations that could prove useful depending on your situation. For those who have commented in the past negatively, do not appreciate what it takes to learn these moves and APPLY them to your style or situation of the moment.
peterkatt You are correct I started in 1988 and many pf these I have mastered example on the radial nerve, the ulner nerve and the from the waist area using the siactic nerve on the outside of the thigh and down to the ankle .Once your see the opening strike the nerve relative to the angle and the direction .This works it freezes the opponent and opens up other points to be hit takes years of practice with a good partner and master teachers like the late DR MOSES POWELL ..OUSH Google him on you tube.
I've been watching these videos and... Awesome to using in self defense. THANKS A LOT... POST MOOOOOOORE....
Loved the vid Scotty
A talented and unique master..keep up the good work...
excellent job
Great information. Thank you.
great refresher for me!
very well done, most nerve striking videos only cover one or two points, never the whys, or how they work together, I dont think I've seen anything on revivals, and this was incredibly informative all around!
very good teaching ,my school started to add kyusho to our wing chun style and i love it, thank you for taking the time to teach
excellent video my friend, very well expressed. I took more then a few tips from you. keep teaching stay strong and centered.
Super and Fantastic Master..
great video !
Very interesting lesson, thanks
Great video. Poor guy getting beat up. He's so chill about it.
Merci encore direct a l´Maitre Scott Roger
I have used some of the pressure points shown here in a security job I had, used the wrist ones in combination with wrist locks. I even used a pinky lock to take a rather LARGE and cocky guy out of the building, the pain plus me telling him you swing I break made him comply rather fast. I also learned some of these points in my martial arts training. Very efffective
This added to all the martial arts is so necessary...he is an amazing instructor and definitely knows what he is talking about. OSS!
You know this is bullshit never work in real fight when he press points his face is wide open to hit and opponents left arm is free too
Well done.Thanks.
I want to thank you...for teaching my boyfriend these techniques. Trust me they work. He tries them out on me. Thanks alot. The needle technique fucking is fabulous btw. Have a great evening.
