Crazy!! Currently sitting in the airport(in Philly) at 2:18am coming home from ministering in another state unable to get home due to flight/weather delays that have impacted the east coast. Hotels and rental cars sold out with in a 20 mile radius and I’m thinking about what time I have to contact my job to let them know my status for tomorrow morning. Cmon man!!! I too have been wrestling the work monster for a while and I have decided that I’m done. I have completed my exit strategy now just have to execute. This vid was right on time bro. Listening to you reminded me of some things I learned that prepared me for Retirement, after 39 years of service. Long before I retired, 3 coworkers died within 3 years. Yes my brother it's true. I realized that a long time ago and that is why I started working only per diem jobs. I was extremely stressed and burnt out. Now I'm not entitled to vacation or sick days but I save in order to have something to cover those days that I need to take off.

I've listened to you teach/preach in church, and even before I knew you were a teacher, I felt like I would listen to you for a long time. BTW, I am sorry to hear that you lost your mother. God is upholding you. I work as a consultant, so my work is contractual. One reason I continue to do this type of work is because of the time in between jobs where I get a break from working. I work with people who think they are defined by their work position. I get where you are coming from. I work a decent wage, but I live rather simply. I still drive my 2010 Hyundai Sonata because even at 253,000 miles, it drives better than some earlier vehicles. I believe that I must be a good steward of what God has blessed me with. I enjoyed listening to this video, and I will keep you in prayer. May the peace of the Lord be with you.

Greetings brother; it’s always nice seeing you I’ll never forget you because I drove all the way from Houston Texas to Monroe Louisiana, to be Baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and I always thank God, for you. I understand what you’re saying, it took me a minute but I have been experiencing the same issues. I work because I have to provide for myself and my family; which by God’s grace and mercy, my children provides now for their self because they are grown now. I have been working now for 26 years, the company I’m now with it will be 20 years this November 2024; I just don’t fit in and it’s a struggle every day because they celebrate Christmas, Easter, Halloween, I know that I qualify for promotions but I’m not like them and always make it known God is first. God keeps me and I follow what God tells me, to love God with all my heart and soul; and love my neighbors. God also, said to work with the Orphans; that’s something that I would love to do but the Government is over that and that’s the reason a lot of these children are being abuse and if I work there; I will not fit in because I’m righteous. I have been praying about it a I know that God is faithful and maybe God is using you to help his people. I really don’t know but like I said, I can definitely relate and I know God said, if you don’t work then you don’t eat. Whatever I do; I have to be able to provide for myself in the process. It will be a blessing to have a job where you are being a blessing and enjoying what you do. A good name is better than money; God said, this as well. I’ll be praying for you and about your mother. I lost my mother in 1991; and I still miss her but I knows her soul is back with God, and better place than here and most of all, she’s in peace. We were blessed to take care of her the last 2 years of her life. I took a year off from work after that, and it was one of the best decisions of my life.

Sir, my 20 year old son sent me this bc he said you and I share similar beliefs and sentiments. I do believe he is correct and you are preaching to the choir 👋. Thank you for sharing this truth. Kids spend their first two years being able to walk and talk. Then the rest being told to sit down and be quiet. Sitting in a cube working to make others rich in dead presidents is not where it's at. The pursuit of material wealth is in itself a flawed construct. Better to be rich in love and life experiences and wisdom. Happiness is transient, but real joy and peace are goals I seek to obtain and share. Needing money is a concept we are sold on early in life and we buy into it oh so eagerly., sacrificing so many freedoms along the way. Anyway, thanks again. We have culturally been passed down the poverty mindset go to school, get a good job and work hard, then a house car and family and I'm like THEN WHAT?? Finding the TOG message during covid in 2020 knocked me over my head, pricked my heart and now I am walking in the knowledge of self, who I am and why I was created Yes we all need to take a 'sabbatical' to start the process of reflection to allow the opportunity for 'self-preservation'. I know a lady at my job who just retired after 37 years she says she thinking about coming back She doesn't have a clue what to do instead of enjoying her retirement she needs the income because she's in so much debt trying to keep up with her mortgage payments and 20 credit cards it's so sad how people kill themselves for money.What kind of life is that. Praise the Lord Bro.! You are talking ALL TRUTH!!! I realized everything you said a while ago, and realized as you get older, controlling your own time is worth more than being paid a lot of money. I decided to re-direct my faith and trust in the Lord into doing my own business (the key is I planned for it first) and believing He will prosper me there, instead of continuing to keep faith for the next good paying 9 to 5. Maybe you can explore educational consulting, where you can still provide valuable input to the educational system and positively impact children still. But as a consultant of your own business; you will have the time flexibility that you desire. I'm still enjoying my freedom of not being bound to a 9 to 5, but my own business, and continuing to trust the Lord all the way and the Lord has NEVER failed. The Lord provides and opens doors on this path as well.

This really blessed because I can absolutely relate. Thanks be to my Lord Jesus Christ he allowed me to start my own business using the knowledge of medical billing and coding that I have learned being a medical assistant for Thirteen years. I have never felt more free because I can work from anywhere and I love being able to be home for my husband and even my adult children if they need me. We go fishing together And I can work at the beach..
There are some very valuable lessons in this reflection. I do not know you brother but I send my condolences to you and your family. I pray for Christ to refresh you and strengthen you. I most certainly agree with you in your assertions. The way the system is designed to enslave until there is nothing left of us. I truly thank the Lord for helping us to see purpose beyond the routine. One thing that really stood out to me from this video was the importance of recognizing when we are showing signs of burn out, and knowing how to retract and recharge. This can be the case with anything that we do in life, whether it be church ministry, work, family ect...We must distinguish when we are being driven by passion or when we are being controlled and led by fear. Thank you for your vulnerability. May the Lord Jesus Christ keep you and guide you in all truth.

Thank God at least you have a little time with her, I am here in Brooklyn New York, have the opportunity to be able to resine my home care job, and now caring for my now 91 year old mom. Thank God every day, even though she being in and out of the hospital lately, I am tired at times with a little help from my oldest sister some weekends. It's not easy. I wasn't scared to speak up to my supervisor. Especially when it comes to my mom, or children who is now adult. May God give you peace.

God bless you, Brother Taj. My condolences to you and your family. Your story is very similar to mine. I retired after 25 years with the City of Detroit, after my Mother passed. We were blessed to take care of her the last 2 years of her life. I took a year off from work after that, and it was one of the best decisions of my life.

Sir, my 20 year old son sent me this bc he said you and I share similar beliefs and sentiments. I do believe he is correct and you are preaching to the choir 👋. Thank you for sharing this truth. Kids spend their first two years being able to walk and talk. Then the rest being told to sit down and be quiet. Sitting in a cube working to make others rich in dead presidents is not where it's at. The pursuit of material wealth is in itself a flawed construct. Better to be rich in love and life experiences and wisdom. Happiness is transient, but real joy and peace are goals I seek to obtain and share. Needing money is a concept we are sold on early in life and we buy into it oh so eagerly., sacrificing so many freedoms along the way. Anyway, thanks again. Greeting brother Taj. Just came across your channel today. My condolences to you and your family. Listening and agreeing to this 'FEAR' concept that needs to be 'overcome' in every area of our lives. It takes me to the scripture 'we perish for LACK of knowledge'. We have culturally been passed down the poverty mindset go to school, get a good job and work hard, then a house car and family and I'm like THEN WHAT?? Finding the TOG message during covid in 2020 knocked me over my head, pricked my heart and now I am walking in the knowledge of self, who I am and why I was created Yes we all need to take a 'sabbatical' to start the process of reflection to allow the opportunity for 'self-preservation'. I appreciate you sharing with us, your journey and 'hope' fully the viewers can extract wisdom and knowledge to step back 'rethink', restart and recharge this fast moving train of disparity called the AMERICAN DREAM. Praise the Lord Bro.! You are talking ALL TRUTH!!! I realized everything you said a while ago, and realized as you get older, controlling your own time is worth more than being paid a lot of money. I decided to re-direct my faith and trust in the Lord into doing my own business (the key is I planned for it first) and believing He will prosper me there, instead of continuing to keep faith for the next good paying 9 to 5. Maybe you can explore educational consulting, where you can still provide valuable input to the educational system and positively impact children still. But as a consultant of your own business; you will have the time flexibility that you desire. I'm still enjoying my freedom of not being bound to a 9 to 5, but my own business, and continuing to trust the Lord all the way and the Lord has NEVER failed. The Lord provides and opens doors on this path as well.

One benefit to living in the US is that the sky is the limit for how one can make money - even legally, of course. And with the Lord, 'all things are possible to them that believe.' This really blessed because I can absolutely relate. Thanks be to my Lord Jesus Christ he allowed me to start my own business using the knowledge of medical billing and coding that I have learned being a medical assistant for Thirteen years. I have never felt more free because I can work from anywhere and I love being able to be home for my husband and even my adult children if they need me. We go fishing together And I can work at the beach..

There are some very valuable lessons in this reflection. I do not know you brother but I send my condolences to you and your family. I pray for Christ to refresh you and strengthen you. I most certainly agree with you in your assertions. The way the system is designed to enslave until there is nothing left of us. I truly thank the Lord for helping us to see purpose beyond the routine. One thing that really stood out to me from this video was the importance of recognizing when we are showing signs of burn out, and knowing how to retract and recharge. This can be the case with anything that we do in life, whether it be church ministry, work, family ect...We must distinguish when we are being driven by passion or when we are being controlled and led by fear. Thank you for your vulnerability. May the Lord Jesus Christ keep you and guide you in all truth.

Thank God at least you have a little time with her, I am here in Brooklyn New York, have the opportunity to be able to resine my home care job, and now caring for my now 91 year old mom. Thank God every day, even though she being in and out of the hospital lately, I am tired at times with a little help from my oldest sister some weekends. It's not easy. I wasn't scared to speak up to my supervisor. Especially when it comes to my mom, or children who is now adult. May God give you peace.
