Good point. It would be great to be able to design a droid online. Savi's is such a great in person experience, so I'm not sure I'd want to be able to purchase those online.
I definitely had some issues syncing at first but once I was connected it seemed to stay linked. I would make sure that the controller it came with is turned off and try reconnecting.
On the control pad/joystick section, can you only use it to mover forward and back like the remote, or can you have it turn where it moves its head and body together?
Did they fix the issue with it disconnecting after a few minutes? Mine works for a few minutes then disconnects. The original remote doesn't even have batteries so I know that is not contributing to the issue. Since day one, May 18 2021, this has been a problem. Please let us know.
Just built my droid and downloaded the app, but I can’t rename my droid. Nothing happens at all when I click the edit button. However, the edit button for the body works. Anyone else have this issues?
So after looking at all these Droid Depot videos while planning my own trip to Disney. Here is what I learned. The R Series have more playability, more options and are more customizable. The BB's: Adorable, and if BB-88 is anything to go by, have good dance skills and can bust a move.

I have the R2 unit and the dance moves are the same ones you show on your video. And I get a kick watching it go! :)
The droids you can buy are only the pre made r2 and BB8 I hope this expands greatly to custom droids and the possibly saviis lightsabers

Just went to the droid shop, and there were more premade droids than just R2 and BB8! Your wish got granted.
Tried it yesterday on my R2 Droid and the dancing was definitely the best thing to come from this app.
Where they the same dance moves as the BB droid?

The droid goes into power saver after 5 minutes. To wake it up, you turn your droid off and back on.
